My name is Jim Foster and I have been trading as Foster Tree Care for 10 years.
After finishing my career as a Royal Marine I attended Sparsholt College where I obtained my qualifications and became a qualified arborist.
I can provide all types of Tree Surgery including hedge trimming, crown reductions, dead wooding, pruning, small and large tree felling.
I pride myself on excellent time keeping and liaise with my customers during the whole process to ensure I achieve the desired finished on all work undertaken.

Reduce height, trim 6 conifers. Dig out 2 conifers
Jim and his team were truly excellent. They referred constantly to check right height was achieved during trimming. All bits and pieces were removed. The garden looked immaculate after the job was completed. I intend to use them again in 2 years when trimming is again needed. And finally the price was exceptionally low! 3 men working for two hours - I would have expected at least double what they charged.

Fell and remove Multi Stem Ash.
After contacting a number of Tree Surgeons and leaving 'voice-mail' messages. Jim was the first to contact me within the hour, to arrange a visit to discuss the work required. One didn't even call me back. Jim's quote was very competitive and offered to contact the Local Council to arrange permission for his team to access the land adjacent to my property to work on the trees. The team arrived as planned and completed the work in a very professional and efficient way, keeping me informed and checking with me that my neighbour had given their permission before working in their garden. As one of the trees was leaning over my neighbour's shed I was very impressed with the care that Jim took to ensure no damage was done. All the timber and chippings were removed and the site left very tidy. I would recommend Foster Free Care to anyone based on the excellent workmanship Jim and his team demonstrated.

Consultation only.
Mr Foster arrived ahead of time. Was knowledgeable about tree culture and gave me the valuable advice that a tree which is an important screen from neighbouring buildings does not at present need cutting. When it does, I shall know who to ask.

Tree felled.
Jim and his team did a great job, his promptness in quoting and completing the job were excellent. The whole job was done within six hours from the time they turned up. 10/10 is not enough really enough, very competitive pricing and he organised a man to grind the stump out. Definately recommend Jim with a glowing reference, no hesitation in using again.

Work on a tree with a TPO.
My tree needed the crown raised and a branch tidy up. I knew the tree had a TPO on it and I wanted an expert’s opinion on it. Jim gave excellent advice and worked closely with the planning office to achieve the best solution for both the tree and me. He submitted the planning application and kept me informed along the way how it was progressing. Today he arrived and carried out the work. We discussed the extent of the work and it was carried out in safe professional manner. Once the work was completed the area was left clean and tidy. I would like to thank Jim and his co-worker for the excellent work they did today. The tree now looks healthier and no doubt will stand for another 100 plus years. I can 100% recommend Jim not only for his excellent knowledge of his subject but for the professional way in which he carried out his work. Thank you.

Removal of two trees, which were chopped into logs.
A knowledgeable and conscientious team, who were friendly and polite. The work was to a very good standard and they took great care to be tidy and not damage other plants around the work area. They gave sound advice on tree after care and are available for future advice if needed.

Cutting down several shrubs and trimming bushes. Treating trunks.
Turned up promptly. Fully equipped. Started work immediately as Jim loped the trees and bushes. His assistant removed all branches and twigs etc. Very efficient and tidy. Finished by treating stumps of the large shrubs. Then advised me on further treatments to ensure the roots etc were dealt with.
