Reigate - Single story extension with roof terrace, external and internal works and landscaping
We appointed Frosty’s to carry out extensive work on our property including the erection of a large single story extension with roof terrace, the creation of a large internal living space with the removal of external and internal walls, alterations to the hallway, rendering and painting of the exterior front and rear of the property, installation of a new front door and extensive landscaping to the rear. In mid-2010 we contacted six local building companies for quotations. Michael Frost’s approach was by far the most professional and their quotation was the most detailed and accurate. Our project had many challenges, including deep excavations, elaborate ironwork and the installation of large sliding glass door panels purchased from Sweden. Michael and his team adapted to the challenges with a patient and professionally attitude, even when things did not go according to plan. At one point during the snow of December 2010, Michael and his team carried their tools almost a mile on foot and worked for several days in sub-zero temperatures to completed the installation of steelwork, which would have been difficult enough in normal conditions! The quality of Frosty’s work is excellent and the Frosty’s team are a hard-working and friendly bunch. They are tidy, conscientious and respectful. Michael in particular is diligent and quality-conscious and it is clear that he takes pride in his work and the reputation of his team. Although the project scope grew over time, Michael always discussed additions with us before committing us to additional cost. The original quotation was honoured through to completion and there were no unexpected extras. Frosty’s was not the cheapest quotation we received but I am convinced they provided us with the best possible value for money given the commitment shown to the project, their reliability and the overall quality of the finished project.

New front and rear porches, new cloakroom, structural changes to lounge/hall, kitchen re-built and totally re-fitted, etc
Selected from 3 builders for detail of quotation, value and committing to schedule and cleanliness. The work, starting mid-January and ending mid-May, has been at the core of the household.
Excellent communication about what and when, workforce scheduling and activities pre-advised, Sub-contractors well managed. Mess and inconvenience kept to minimum by daily cleaning and control.
Discussed and agreed variations through the job, and at the end we know the changes to the quote.
Excellent quality of workmanship, and helpful suggestions to the detail on the way.
Happy to allow potential clients visit and look at the wide range of work involved in our house.
