We were delighted to have found Frosty' s and we were very pleased at their approach, manner and professionalism. A great job very well done. Initial site and verbal quote offered which was backed up by written estimate which was further updated with a detailed quote when the plans were all agreed. We appointed Frosty’s to carry out extensive work on our property including the erection of a large single story extension with roof terrace, the creation of a large internal living space with the removal of external and internal walls, alterations to the hallway, rendering and painting of the exterior front and rear of the property, installation of a new front door and extensive landscaping to the rear. In mid-2010 we contacted six local building companies for quotations. Michael Frost’s approach was by far the most professional and their quotation was the most detailed and accurate. Our project had many challenges, including deep excavations, elaborate ironwork and the installation of large sliding glass door panels purchased from Sweden. Michael and his team adapted to the challenges with a patient and professionally attitude, even when things did not go according to plan. At one point during the snow of December 2010, Michael and his team carried their tools almost a mile on foot and worked for several days in sub-zero temperatures to completed the installation of steelwork, which would have been difficult enough in normal conditions! The quality of Frosty’s work is excellent and the Frosty’s team are a hard-working and friendly bunch. They are tidy, conscientious and respectful. Michael in particular is diligent and quality-conscious and it is clear that he takes pride in his work and the reputation of his team. Although the project scope grew over time, Michael always discussed additions with us before committing us to additional cost. The original quotation was honoured through to completion and there were no unexpected extras. Frosty’s was not the cheapest quotation we received but I am convinced they provided us with the best possible value for money given the commitment shown to the project, their reliability and the overall quality of the finished project.

Although very well recommended, we seemed to have difficulties from the start with running over schedule. We felt that this was due to another job they were running which was taking the traders focus. Unfortunately, they left our project in its early stages (at damp proof course) with no notice, with the inconvenience of needing to find another builder.

In my opinion the project ran over schedule due to an inexperienced architect who continued to revise plans weekly altering measurements and materials. There was also the unforeseen problem of having to break up previously laid concrete (which I agreed to dig out Free of Charge!) before we could even commence the scheduled work. We always carry out more than one project at a time and this has never been an issue for any of my other clients in the past. I felt that my workforce were continually being patronised and spoken to in a rude manner by the customer and their architect and brought this to their attention long before leaving site. The customer did not keep to the contract regarding payment terms. Before leaving site I handed over a letter explaining my concerns and offered to continue work but I was not asked to return.

Would happily recommend Frosty' s Building Contractors. We are very pleased with our new kitchen. Although we ended up paying more for work in the end, this was due to problems which were discovered during the process and the choices we made to have them resolved. We were kept well informed before decisions were made. All the guys were friendly and were clean and tidy in their work.

Frosty's task was to replace our front garden path and create a large patio area in the back garden. The latter entailed an enormous amount of ground clearance before the patio could be laid. All employees and contractors were hard working and conscientious, very courteous at all times and kept the area tidy. The final results are spectacular as is the infamous rustic garden bench. Special thanks go to Michael and Lee for their vision which enhanced our original ideas.

Selected from 3 builders for detail of quotation, value and committing to schedule and cleanliness. The work, starting mid-January and ending mid-May, has been at the core of the household. Excellent communication about what and when, workforce scheduling and activities pre-advised, Sub-contractors well managed. Mess and inconvenience kept to minimum by daily cleaning and control. Discussed and agreed variations through the job, and at the end we know the changes to the quote. Excellent quality of workmanship, and helpful suggestions to the detail on the way. Happy to allow potential clients visit and look at the wide range of work involved in our house.

Frosty's are everything you'd hope a Builder to be. Extremely tidy. Professional. Hard working and most importantly great craftsmen. They kept to the quoted budget and time frame agreed. Mike and his team are friendly and take great pride in everything they do. They were mindful that they were in our home and even put up with our 3 year old's endless questions! What I really liked was that Mike didn't just blindly follow our design and/or specification. If he had a suggestion as to how to improve things he'd offered it up, and it would always be for the better - and that didn't mean at extra cost either, sometimes it was cheaper. They also went that extra mile. For example: when re-laying our garden paving they made it look better than before. Just the perfect builders, really. Very reliable, very honest and very good.

Michael and his company were recommended to be via a work colleague to replace my kitchen in Autumn 2008. The new kitchen required everything from the new units to tiling, electrics and plumbing - the complete job was required!. From the initial quote that 'Frostys' gave me, the final job actually came in under budget... very refreshing considering some of the horror stories you hear about builders!!! Michaels team were polite, professional and considerate at all times - carrying out their work with the minimum of fuss and disruption. The site was left spotlessly clean and tidy everyday - something I was a little concerned about at the outset! The end product is a kitchen to be proud of and a bank balance still intact! I would strongly recommend Michael and his team to anyone looking for a professionally executed job.

Michael Frost and his team did a job for me on a property I needed updating for rental. Loft conversion, bathroom refit and general work like kitchen refacing. I needed it done quick and with a solid finish with minimum fuss. I got that but what I liked was the additional ideas that the team added (at no cost). My kitchen looked up to date and modern at a fraction of the cost with just new unit fronts and specially hand made breakfast bar and tiling. I couldn't have been more pleased. The place was cleaned and tidied and the team were always there when they said they would be and worked weekends to meet the original deadline.
