This was the second job Graham has done for me. He has updated the consumer unit with the latest rcb's which means I don't have to have earth wires attached to pipework in the bathroom. During the whole house test he discovered that my new immersion heater was out of date before it was fitted ! A very satisfactory and fruitful couple of hours. I can definitely recommend Graham.

We found this company on Checkatrade to check the electrical work on our loft conversion and to provide us with the necessary certification after our original electrician refused to provide the same. Graham pointed out the errors in the electrics in laymens terms and advised on how those errors will have to be rectified. He was very friendly and we would not hesitate in using him again.

This was a call for help after I lost power (not lighting) to my house. The owner of the business explained the possibilities, then took me through the steps necessary to eliminate the areas which weren't causing the problem. Within 10 minutes the problem had been sorted, by simple very well explained instructions/advice. A charge for this was not mentioned, and I could tell that such a thing was not at all on his mind.. Extremely helpful, done without any underlying attitude of self interest. I have given my maximum score here, for me to give 10 indicates perfection not normally found anywhere Might I suggest you allow decimal ratings e.g 9.9

This task was not a straightforward one as the house, a large four bedroom property with solid floors, had been badly wired in past. Graham and John arrived exactly when expected each day and completed the job on time and to cost. I was consulted at all stages and the work was meticulously carried out with the minimum of inconvenience. At the end of each day the house was cleaner than it normally is! It was a pleasure to have Graham and John in the house and I was able to leave them alone with every confidence. The cost was very reasonable given the complexity and amount of work involved and the charge for additional that I decided to have done work was much less that I would have expected. I was delighted with the outcome and high standard and I would recommend GJB to anyone without reservation.

I was quoted a price by the trader for a new Excel Consumer Board which he preferred to fit, but have since found that I could have purchased one cheaper elsewhere. I was quoted a price for the complete job (including the board) which took 4 hours for his apprentice to complete. The apprentice fitted the board (his 3rd apparently) although he was supervised. I was not happy with the installation of the earth cable along an outside wall, I feel that this looks unsightly and unprofessional. The holes that the trader made with a drill were never filled and just left open to the weather. I feel that this was a most expensive and disappointing job.

I was led to believe from the customer that they obtained three quotations and they stated at the time the work was booked that gjb electrical services quoted the lowest price.
