Our Complaints Resolution Process

We take negative comments seriously. If there have been any problems with one of our members, please submit your details in the next step so that we can send you a Consumer Comments Form.

The Consumer Comments Form allows you to explain in detail the problems that you have encountered, and to score the tradesperson out of 10 in the same way that you would with normal feedback. Simply complete the form and return the form to us to initiate our complaints procedure.

Before you request a form

Please consider the following:

• Has the tradesperson actually done any work for you, or entered into an agreement to complete work for you? We can only act on complaints from customers of our members, where there is a verbal or written contract.
• Have you given the tradesperson a reasonable opportunity to put matters right? Usually the quickest and most effective way to get a good result for all parties involved is to talk to your tradesperson first. They should be given the opportunity to put matters right before you complain.
• Will you permit us to share your comments with the tradesperson concerned? Before we publish any negative feedback, we give the tradesperson an opportunity to present his or her side of the story. To do this we must alert the tradesperson to your feedback. If your feedback is subsequently published on our web site it will still be anonymous. If you do not wish your comments and details to be shared with the tradesperson, we will still consider your feedback; however we will not be able to investigate the issues or publish your feedback on our web site.
