Work tops replaced

The work was eventually well completed, although not without initial aggravation. In spite of 3 phone calls made by me in the 2 weeks prior to fitting, warning that the template might not be correct, when the top arrived it was the wrong size and another had to be made on the same day. The workman was fine, but let down by unsatisfactory support and management staff.

I am surprised that this customer has chosen to mark us down on this. There was a problem, not quite as the customer saw it and has reported, but the job was installed in one day, on the day we had arranged, with a satisfactory result – please see the marks scored. What has been pointed out highlights only that we are a company made up of human beings who occasionally make mistakes. It also highlights that when a problem is identified it is dealt with immediately and effectively to ensure the customer receives the service they deserve. The customer was only impacted in that he was aware we had a problem and were overcoming it. I know he is delighted with the results, as I am that he received the service level we try to deliver all our customers.

We asked particularly if the surface was susceptible to cleaners and were told that ordinary cleaners were ok. After completion we were warned not to use harmful cleaners.

Use of standard, non destructive, cleaners will cause no problem whatsoever. Certain ‘magic’ cleaners are particularly destructive and citrus cleaners can be quite acidic. We would advise against the use of these cleaners generally, and specifically where our products are involved. The customer in question was perturbed because we advised against the use of a particularly strong and destructive cleaning agent that his cleaner tends to use.
