Chris and Grant both deserve our thanks for their efforts, the "emergency" first part of the work carried out just before Christmas allowing our arrangements to then go ahead (we were hosting a family Christmas) followed by a more in-depth repair and service. Cannot fault them for fair and honest dealing and costs. Based on our experiences, would highly recommend them.

Chris came out on a Saturday evening when our boiler refused to stay on properly and wouldn't heat the house. He was really knowledgeable and honest about our options. He found that a valve was broken and needed replacing, and also recommended a test we could do ourselves over Sunday to narrow down causes of the flow problem. When the self-test returned no problems, he came round first thing Monday morning as promised with Grant to replace the valve but also talk our options through. We agreed that the valve would be replaced and the system power flushed to try and solve the flow problem. Grant stayed to do the power flush and valve after Chris had set them up, and they were both polite, friendly and helpful throughout. When Grant was done Chris came back to check it all over, and it seems to all be working like it should again now. I would definitely recommend Graphite to anyone in the area, and if (or maybe with our old boiler that should be when!) we have any more problems we would not hesitate to use them again. We were very lucky to find Graphite when our boiler packed in. Chris and Grant were able to come to our rescue within a few days. We were very impressed with their work and pleasant behaviour, so much so that we have asked them to take on more work for us in the next couple of weeks, we would never use anyone else after this.

This was a relatively big job on the face of it and Chris and Grant had some unknown problems until they actually started the work. The quote I received was acceptable and the first thing I was grateful for is that they were able to start the work almost immediately. Chris owns the firm and supervises Grant who carried out most of the work himself, drafting in helpers when necessary. Both Chris and Grant are very knowledgeable and I am very pleased with Grants workmanship. He really does know his stuff. We were never left without hot water or a shower even though the work took over a week to complete. Grant is not a 'morning' person which gave my family time to get ready each day but always put in a good solid days work. Expect disruption when you have work done but the house was kept as tidy as possible and Grant always cleared up at the end of the day. I have no hesitation in recommending Chris and Grant and would be happy to give personal feedback to anyone who would like it.

Our boiler decided to give up during one of the coldest winters for years, concerned for our warmth Chris offered to supply us electric heaters to keep us going until they could come and fit the new system. We survived the 3 weeks we had to wait and our new boiler was fitted on time and with very little disruption considering the work involved. The new weather compensation system is great, the house is kept at a temperature of 18 degrees during the day (less at night) and therefore, our energy consumption should reduce by not having to heat up the external walls before the inside of the house. We love it as the house is always warm and welcoming regardless of what time it is.
