Replacement Windows
Informative and very friendly salesman who did not press for 'the sale'. Good standard of workmanship from the fitters. However, we were upset by 'middle management' pressing for payment before the job was properly installed and would therefore recommend, with reservation.

Response from Grovewood Double Glazing Ltd:
We are concerned at the statement that they were “pressed” for payment as they were simply asked to meet their contractual obligations and pay the amount due at that stage of the contract. The balance due on this contract was discussed with the customers. In fact, they were told to hold back more than the normal 10% of the contract value as per the terms and conditions on the contract “as signed by the customer”. The outstanding issues were simply a replacement window and some minor trimming. Furthermore, the customers actually came in to the showroom to pay the balance a few days after the payment conversation took place. If we were “pressing” for payment would payment not have been made sooner? Is it not reasonable to expect payment for work that has been undertaken on a contract, many companies ask for full payment before undertaking the work.

Replace conservatory roof and secure conservatory seal to our dining room as in past water marks show in storms
We chose Grovewood as we had previously had some fogged windows resealed successfully. Over a long period of time we had noticed occasional water marks between our open plan dining area and conservatory. We had decided that as the conservatory roof was poly carbonate, we would have it replaced with glass and at the same time it would be resealed to the existing building. Since the work being completed, apart from the fact that the newly installed box/tank gutter along the back of the conservatory sounds like a urinal when it rains, every time there is a combination of wind and rain water runs through and down the interior walls, collecting in puddles on my floor. We are still chasing Grovewood up to get this resolved 3 months on. Grovewood need to take a long look at its customer care and aftercare attitude. Particularly at management level.
