As part of an on going self build using main contractor GT Contractors have completed the next phase of a large 3500 sqft house, stable block and garages. All work has been to a high finish on time and budget, I have been able to work with the contractor who has taken my comments / wishes on board throughout.

GT Contractors have previously worked for us - painting the outside of the house and replacing a section of roof, so we were confident in asking them to replace our rear patio. The boys worked really hard to complete the work to a very high standard and left everything in a clean and tidy condition. Gary and his team built a rear ground floor extension plus a patio and steps in the garden. They also took out our existing kitchen which opened out onto the new extension and prepared the room (plastering, electrics, plumbing, floor etc) ready for the new kitchen to be fitted. As we were very pleased with the quality of their work and while the extension was still being completed, they also started work on a front porch plus some other jobs such as hanging new internal wooden doors throughout the house and building cupboards in the downstairs loo. From the beginning, all his team and contractors were courteous, tidy and accommodating to work with. The whole job took from April to December 2011. We would be happy to recommend GT Contractors.

GT Contractors has ran as the main contractor since Oct 2010 for the entire build. I have found the Co. And Mr Turner to be very professional and has taken the stress and worry out of the build for me. Especially dealing with site professionals i.E Architects, Local Authorities and NHBC. Everything has been to schedule and to budget, any problems that have come along during the build GT Contractors have been accommodating in resolving them. I am 80% through the build and am extremely pleased by the quality and finish. Outside trades who have been contracted in to assist in the build through GT Contractors have all spoken highly of Mr Turner and his Co when asked. I will complete a final review on handover of the build.

3 weeks work. I would highly recommend GT Contractors. They maintained the schedule even through the heavy snowfall to make sure I had my new kitchen for Christmas. They did a fantastic job ! They kept disruption to a minimum despite the major work involved with utilities and literally were cleaning as they backed out of the property at the end of each day.

I would not hesitate to recommend Gary and his team. They were all very knowledgeable, very skilled and the finished work is fantastic. They were able to suggest better (and sometimes cheaper) alternatives to some of our ideas and were meticulous in their approach and finish. Jez, the chap who fitted the ensuite, was particularly thorough and helpful and everyone who comes in the house comments on the 'feature wall' in the lounge which the guys lined, then painted matching coloured strips where the joins of the red wallpaper would be before hanging the wallpaper. They certainly exceeded our expectations and were very good value for money.
