Welcome to the GW Works profile page. 

We are made up of Derek Garner and Tim Warner. 

Derek is a qualified carpenter and has over a decade of experience in landscape gardening.

Tim is a registered Gas Safe engineer and qualified heating engineer.

We take a lot of pride in our work and enjoy using our skills. GW Works was formed in the spring of 2010, incorporating Derek’s previous business of Garner Ground Works.

We both have a heart and desire to invest in people with the work we do, both having worked with marginalised people and youngsters, we want to use the platform of GW Works to provide opportunities and mentoring for these people wherever possible within their work and home life.

GW Works loves to take on a wide variety of projects inside and outside your home, with our broad spectrum of construction skills we are able to take on a range of building projects.

Boiler repair

Over all, everything was dealt with seamlessly and efficiently. The only reason I have put an 8 down for time keeping is that it took an hour longer than anticipated. Other than that, Tim was incredibly pleasant, informative and was able to react quickly to our situation. I would certainly recommend him to other people and contact him again should I need to. So far, our boiler has been working just fine.

Plumbing - installing radiators and making good

This was the third time that GW Works has under-taken work at our home and as on the previous occasions the work has been completed to our complete satisfaction and at competitive pricing. My wife and I can recommend this company without any reservation and we plan to have further work done in the future.

Remove one radiator and replace another

An unwanted radiator was removed, and the pipes capped off under the floor. A 2nd, very old, rusty radiator was replaced with a new smaller one. System was drained, work carried out (VERY neat soldering on all pipe work) and system re-filled and tested in only a few hours. Superb work, really nice guys, would recommend for quick, tidy plumbing work.
