The day after the boiler was supposed to have been serviced, we found that the boiler would switch on automatically, now and then, when the boiler was off. The same as if the lights would some on even though they were switched off. We operate the boiler manually switching it on and off everyday - as far as the control heating is concerned. This manual operation has functioned perfectly well until the trader carried out his service. We phoned him to come back and repair/re-adjust the boiler but the trader was un-cooperative and put the phone down and he has not contacted us since.

Response from Hackshaw Plumbing and Heating Ltd:
This customer boiler was serviced only. In my opinion nothing was done which would have caused what they suggesting. The existing programmer which was possibly the cause of the problem, was an old external type which I advised them to change which I feel they disregarded. I did not touch the programmer and therefore could not have altered the settings. I felt they were very abusive in the phone call I kindly asked the customer of she continued to speak in this manner whilst not listening to me that I would have to end the conversation. She persisted so I advised her that I was going to put the phone down.
