This was the best experience I've had of home maintenance work in 15 years of living in London. The job was to renew a leaking, deteriorated asphalt roof of 6 square metres, used as a terrace, and lay new tiles. I found Hambro Roofing after a surveyor advised me to use a member of the Mastic Asphalt Council. Out of three estimates, Hambro's wasn't the cheapest but the firm went to the top of my list due to their great attitude. From my first phone contact with Linda in the office, every person involved in the process made an outstanding impression. I felt care was taken at all times to maintain high standards and good service. A small snag with the tiles was sorted out smoothly and speedily so that any inconvenience to me was minimised. The new roof looks lovely and I'm confident it will last for decades, long beyond the guarantee. Additionally, in a hi-tech age it was a privilege to witness such skill: the roofers were proper, traditional craftsmen, the finish is absolutely precise. They were also very neat and tidied up as they worked. A quality job all round!

Very courteous, arrived to inspect exactly when he said he would. Although he identified the job as not being within area of expertise (turned out to be a brickwork problem, not a roofing one). Was very honest about it and gave clear advice. Gave me full confidence that if I ever did need the roof done, He would be the first to be called.

Very pleased with the whole service and would highly recommend Jon and his team to anyone needing roof repairs. I would only say that it was a shame they left quite quickly and did not offer to take my husband up on the roof to take a look and explain what they had done. It's not that we don't trust the work being carried out was done, but I think it's always good practice to show the customer when completed (where possible) to ensure they are satisfied and have no further questions. Besides, we would've really liked to have seen the finished job - it's too difficult for us to access without the appropriate ladder, which they used. This is why I have rated a neutral 5 and n/a for 'quality of workmanship', as we never saw the finished work.

Everything was arranged very professionally, scaffold and brick work was involved and later a plumber (unforeseen work). All of this was organised by Jon, some of it at short notice. Job done on time on price to a very good standard and the place left tidy, what more can you ask?

Excellent in every way. Traffic was horrendous but kept informed by phone of adjusted arrival time, which was appreciated. Professional, courteous and efficient. It was a small job and these can be the most difficult to get done well which, so far, this seems to have been. Charge was as quoted, which seemed a justified amount. The one score below 10 was because some junk materials removed were left behind on the roof - which is a nuisance, but there may have been a reason they were left behind. Would recommend them and use them again.

Job completed very quickly, very neat workmanship, the roof has survived all this snow and rain apparently unscathed so very happy. My only quibble was the work kept getting delayed due to torrential rain and I had to chase them for updates rather than the other way round. Apart from that excellent work and I would use again.

Found this company to be honest and for that reason alone, would use them again. Workmanship was exceptional, the team was professional, clean and tidy - You would not have known they had been. Regarding being honest - My bill was reduced by several hundred because some of the work we thought we needed wasn't, so we saved money.
