Paul was exceptionally thorough and resourceful in tracing a leak which was causing water to enter a bathroom cabinet. The source of the leak was by no means obvious, but he successfully identified the origin to a problem in the roof area. I was most impressed by his persistence identifying and resolving this matter.

Paul removed our old bathroom and refitted new units, replumbed, fitted flooring and re-tiled as well. All done to a fantastic standard, much of it requiring high degree of bespoke fitting. This is the second time we've worked with Paul and his colleagues and he was as courteous, reliable and proficient as ever. Thank you!

We need repair of cracked brickwork in a section of an external wall that, for some reason, had not been rendered in keeping with the rest of the house. Paul was the only tradesman who when he came to give a quote actually took an interest in why that section was different to the rest of the house and what had caused cracks only in that part of the wall. The other people who came out just had a quick look at the wall and quoted for repointing (one company just asked for pictures of the wall and did not come out to see it!). Paul inspected the bricks at rendered/unrendered threshold and also checked state of wall ties. And after advice from a wall tie company, we had Paul fit new wall ties along the whole flank, stitch and repair cracked brickwork, repoint, and finally apply pebbledash render in keeping with the rest of the house. Thanks to Paul's interest and professionalism we hopefully now have a permanent fix to the problem, which, had we just gone with the repointing suggested by others, would likely have soon re-occured. We would recommend Paul's company to others and happily use again ourselves.

After the removal of the chimney breast from one of the bedrooms Paul and his builders were able to make use of a small amount extra flooring to repair the missing floor section, which given the probability of alternatives I was very happy with. Unfortunately with any job like this no matter how clean a builder is the dust that comes out of a chimney is impossible to contain. Overall I was happy with the work done and the price was less than others had managed to quote as well.

Superb. Paul and his colleagues were asked to create a partition wall for a new bedroom, including the relocation of a period doorway, minor electrical works and plastering. Paul's huge experience was apparent from our initial meeting and was reflected in the quality of the workmanship and attention to detail (including the exact matching of period architraves/ skirting). Everyone involved took pride in their work, were totally reliable and considerate (we have a young family). We were always kept up to date with progress and wouldn't hesitate to contact Paul again about future projects. We're delighted - thank you!

Well priced work and very good result of block paving to a high standard. Work cost more than anticipated but only because we requested more during the process. Took slightly longer than anticipated to finish but were kept informed throughout the process. Would recommend and will use again for another property.

I needed a few repair jobs doing around our industrial site. For all 3 jobs, Paul's estimates were very competitive. The work was carried out on time with little disruption or mess, which could have been a real problem as we have a very busy office and warehouse environment. Paul acted as project manager for our complete house refurbishment. This included rebuild of the front bay and new windows, repair external brickwork and rendering, new central heating system, complete re-wire, construct new external brick and flat roof utility room. Liaise with Southampton City Council and architect to design and approve removal of internal supporting wall and replace with RSJ. Extend kitchen with new stud wall and fully Install new kitchen. Install new downstairs toilet, including waste connection. Paul is very experienced in the building trade. He has many contacts with other tradesmen and he acted on our behalf to arrange for all the others we required, which is a very helpful and saves a huge amount of time versus doing this yourself. His estimate was competitive and we agreed a payment in stages process upon completion which worked well. Some extra work was identified but was always pointed out, estimated and approved by us before proceeding. The work completed was of a high standard and Paul was friendly and pleasant to work with. I am pleased to recommend him to others.

In addition to removing the wall entirely to create one large living space both ceilings were plastered and twice painted including the plaster boards to conceal the two large steals to support the rest of the house. all the walls were plastered to make one bib flat wall. On request 2 flat roofs were replaced with new decking according to another estimate I asked for. Everyday the floors were left so we could continue to live as normal as possible at the time. Upstairs 2 very large beams were inserted to support the chimney stack and walls while the 2 steals were inserted downstairs. Extra work was done to move 2 electric sockets to 2 new places and 1 radiator was move to another wall All the work was done within 3 weeks to our great satisfaction and we are now enjoying the new living space very much. The steal calculations and the council (needed to be informed) was all included in the estimate as requested. I can recommend anybody to have work done by Paul Harris and also receive a good all in quote for work to be done. If anyone really wants to see what work he has done you can ask Paul to call me and visit us to see the work he has done.
