Hayes Contracts was founded in 1999 by Andy Hayes who has over 25 years experience in the building trade.

Hayes Contracts can take care of all stages of construction from initial planning through to the full project management. Our intension is to keep to both budget and schedule until completion. Hayes Contracts can design, plan and develop your extension, refurbishing, alteration or even individual house build. We are committed to ensuring that your investment reaches your expectations.

From groundwork to the roof Hayes Contracts always ensures all works and tradesman are of the highest quality. We are aware of the time frame, whilst maintaining very high standards. We believe in quality is in attention to detail in both finance and finish. During a project a schedule of works and finance will be available and discussed on a weekly basis. The detail of our workmanship speaks for itself.

Hayes Contracts services include the supplying and/or fitting of kitchens and bathrooms. Our kitchens can be fully bespoke in traditional, contemporary or modern design. Our work tops in granite Silestone, Corian or even glass. We can offer fully bespoke toughened glass splash backs. A full design service is available for all our kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and studies.

Our plumbing and heating engineers are all registered to Gas Safe and our electricians are all NAPIT and Part P certified.

Our painting and decorating team are clean, efficient and work to an exceptionally high standard. In addition to the interior and exterior decorating we specialize in all decorative effects, colour mixing and high quality wall coverings.

Hayes Contracts have fitted wardrobes and certain kitchen items and I have been impressed with the outcome and their pricing was fair and quality good. They also took less time than anticipated.

Complete renovation of period property in Lindfield

Andy and his team really have exceeded all our expectations on our project. He came in very late in the day because we really weren't confident with our shortlist of contractors. Andy got us the quote promptly and hit the job like a whirlwind once we'd given him the go ahead, which was exactly what we needed with the short timeframe in hand. We're about half way through now and very happy with the whole team who have been excellent. Brilliant quality of work. Really great fun with our kids and also good to have a drink with at the end of the day. Most importantly we really get the feeling Andy's level of finish is going to meet our high standards and I can safely say he's the only contractor we met that gave us that confidence. We'll report back in a month or so...

Ground floor extension, new roof, decking, refit of bathroom and bedroom, new kitchen and utility installed

We are now three quarters of the way through the job and things are looking good. The team have been brilliant and have put up with all of our last minute changes and kept to budget and still ahead of time. I can't recommend them highly enough. Everything is finished to a very high standard and they have gone to extreme lengths to enable us to live in the house while the work is ongoing. For example, they built us a temporary kitchen which was completely screened off from the work so that we could still cook in a dust free space. If you are thinking of doing any building work use Hayes Contracts.

New roof, rendering to front of house and extension

The scaffolding came down today and all I can say is WOW! We are so chuffed, it looks like we have a new house. Andy and the team have done an amazing job and all ahead of schedule. Work is moving swiftly along on the extension and the renovation of one of the bedrooms and bathrooms is underway too. The team makes such an effort to keep everything tidy and they work wonders with the hoover. Can't recommend them enough.

Two extensions and complete refurbishment of house

This is the third posting I have made about our job. We hired Hayes Contracts to build two extensions, create a kitchen with the 'wow' factor and refurbish the whole house. The end result is as good as the pictures suggest on their website. Everyone who has been in has simply said 'wow'. We are delighted and have the house we dreamed of. Hayes Contracts did an excellent job and at all times were reliable, personable and professional. I have already recommended them and will continue to do so.

Removal of old roof and a complete new roof fitted.

The job is only half way through but work is ahead of schedule. Andy and his team are tidy, efficient, reliable and have done a great job so far. The whole look of the house has been improved and we are only halfway! We are delighted and can't recommend Hayes Contracts enough.

Two months ago I said that we were half -way through the project. That turned out to be a bit ambitious as Andy and his team are still here, but that is only because we have hired them to continue on other work throughout the house. Our kitchen extension is almost finished and looks fantastic - it really has turned out exactly as we hoped it would. Now they are motoring through the rest of the house and we are very pleased with the way it is all coming together. We are over-budget, but that is our fault as we have wanted extras and a lot more refurbishment than we previously planned. The attention to detail of Andy and his team is very impressive and he's always looking to improve the finish in any way possible. It is a bit of an endurance test living in a house for several months during a complete refurbishment but, as it nears the end, we can see that it will definitely be worth it. We have already recommended Andy and his team to several friends and contacts.

We are half way through the project and so far Andy and his team have been excellent. The quality of their work is superb, they are very tidy and reliable and they are nice people to have around the place. The great thing about Andy is that he constantly suggests improvements and enhancements to the project, often at no extra cost. It seems that he really cares about the end result. I would not hesitate to recommend them and will update my comments on completion of the work.

Fitted new kitchen

Andy and his team worked in our house with minimal disruption to our family. They worked to high specification and the finished product was superb. They were polite and tidy and finished the job when they said they would. We would definitely recommend Hayes Contracts to our friends and family. We are now waiting for a start date from Andy for our en-suite.
