Keen to use a local business, we employed the services of Hippo to carry out some remedial groundwork in the garden of our new house. The garden was in quite a state when we moved in with lots of weeds, overgrown shrubs and bushes and a dilapidated bomb shelter. Oliver and his team were very professional and all work was completed exactly as discussed in a quick and tidy manor. We are very pleased with how they went about removing the Anderson Bomb Shelter, making the land around the area level and rotovating the entire garden ready for subsequent landscaping. They also dealt with reducing a very overgrown Magnolia tree down to a manageable size, opening up the garden and allowing a great deal of light into the house. Hippo have a great deal of knowledge and were full of ideas as to how we could landscape our garden in the future. Would recommend Hippo highly!

From the initial meeting to see what needed to be done, Oliver completely took on board our needs and planned accordingly. When he and Matt arrived they got on with the job quickly and efficiently and everything was completed in 2 1/2 days. They had loads of ideas to make the ongoing maintenance of our garden easy for us. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants their garden landscaping and/or trees removing. Really nice guys - I would have no hesitation recommeding them to anyone.

We were impressed by the integrity and the creativity of this company. The designs were imaginative and thoughtful, and were appropriate for the limited available space and the constraints of existing garden features. Our input was taken into account and we were presented with three attractive and different design solutions, each with a detailed breakdown of costs. The work was begun and finished exactly on the dates that were agreed three months previously. The quality of workmanship was high and the team were a pleasure to have around.

Hippo Designs offered me a full planning and was able to alter and change the design, also he works with young apprentices who work at Merrist Wood Collage, giving them opportunity to develop skills, enabling them to set up their own business.
