I am not happy with the service received from this company. I have had approximately 15 houses with replaced glazing and this is the worst job I have ever seen. Not one window fitted, the plasterer who tried to rectify it made it worse. I would not recommend this company.

I genuinely believe that due to a misunderstanding there has been a breakdown in communication. A letter confirming that work was done was sent end of September together with a reply to the complaint. I feel we have been a credit to our profession and have undertaken the work we were employed to do together with major structural alteration that we were not paid for and did not ask for. We ignored our own contract to help by fitting ironwork above the bay, at huge expense to us in labour and materials and do not think this is the way an unreliable company would operate. This customer has a ten year guarantee for the windows which we will honour in a professional way”.

Some of the lead up processes were not always clearly explained including when choices of fittings had to be made. The work was quick, efficient and mostly to a high standard. Some fittings to the windows were broken by the workmen who seemed to have difficulty with this apparently new type. However replacements were ordered and refitted quickly and correctly. Very good value over all.

We can't recommend House of Surrey highly enough. Their service is friendly, professional and efficient from an honest price and a non-aggressive sales approach to timely delivery and a fantastic installation by their fitter, Scott, who is great. We didn't consider using anybody else for our replacement door having had HofS replace our windows 2 years ago. We'll definitely use them again if we need anything else.

We short listed 3 companies to quote for our replacement windows and front door - 1 local company and 2 from checkatrade. We selected House of Surrey as they had a greater range of options (fascia designs, front door options, latches and locks). Also, Malcolm was very knowledgeable about the implications of different design and specification choices. In terms of price, they were 2nd out of the 3 and represented good value for money with a longer, insurance-backed guarantee and noticeably higher quality levers/locking systems. Once selected, the final survey was carried out quickly and the installers arrived on time and got straight to removing the old windows. The whole installation was very tidy and, given the number of windows being done, we only had a couple of items that needed finishing off. Only a few extra hours were needed to complete the job.
