Andy and his guys did a great job for us. We had been let down by a previous company which had cost us time and money so were very relieved when they turned the job around in just a few weeks from ordering to installing. We had been let down by a previous company and were encouraged initially by the positive customer comments on this website. Andy and his guys took only 3 weeks in between ordering and starting work on the conservatory. They were punctual and friendly, arriving early each morning and we were impressed by their service and the workmanship on the finished product. We would very happily recommend them to anyone.

Having put off having our windows changed for some time and having had a few quotes we decided to go with Howard Caine due to the highly professional but personnel approach Andy and his team have and the good reputation he has built up. They have just installed 2 new Bay windows, 3 side windows and a new composite front door. The whole job was completed on time and delivered and installed without any real disruption. The windows installed are top quality and the finish was excellent. I would recommend Howard Caine to anyone wanting a quality installation at a fair price. 1st class !

My wife noticed that one of the roof panels in our conservatory was a slightly different colour to the other panels. She mentioned it to Andy who phoned his supplier straight away to order a replacement. Andy explained that as soon as the new panel came in he would let us know to arrange a date for replacing it which he did. Any and Leon turned up at the time they said they would and replaced the panel with the minimum of fuss and disruption. They offer a very professional service and I would highly recommend them.

As soon as the panel came in Andy rang us to arrange a day to fit it. Andy and Leon turned up at the arranged time and fitted the panel with the minimum of disruption. The work was undertaken in a professional and workman like manner. Great care was taken to the decorations surrounding the windows and all carpets were covered by dust sheets. The three guys worked well as a team to achieve an excellent result, as a result of which we placed a further order for the other windows in the property to be replaced.

Andy and Chris were quick to come out and repair my conservatory door. Turned out a bit more complicated than expected but both took it all in their stride and did a fantastic job! Both came today and replaced my front and rear door locks!! Once again was a quick call and they were here! Must be one of the most reliable, pleasant, friendly and work conscious company I have had work for me. Would not hesitate to call again! (and they don't drink much tea!!)

Andy was very helpful before we ordered the conservatory and talked us through the process. He also arranged a visit to see a conservatory locally which they had fitted which was very helpful. The construction of the walls and foundation was subcontracted to Richard a local bricklayer who has a lot of experience and achieved a high standard with a couple of small exceptions relating to the position of the drainpipes. Once the walls were completed measurements were taken and the conservatory was ordered. Just over a week later it was fitted to a very high standard and my wife and I were pleased with the outcome. The team were very helpful and the work was completed quickly even though the weather wasn't very good. After everything dried out, which took a few days the plasterer came and finished the walls and finally the electrician John who Richard organised connected up the sockets and lights. All in all we were happy with the outcome and we are about to start using the conservatory. The team were polite and helpful and the standard of workmanship was very good. I am happy to recommend Howard Caine Conservatories.

We asked for advice about either repairing our old, leaky conservatory or replacing it with new one. Andy and Leon were very helpful and explained the alternatives, giving us quotes for the various options. They arranged a visit for us to see a similar conservatory to the one we were considering. They responded to my emails promptly and the whole operation went very smoothly. All concerned turned up on time, worked diligently and left everything clean and tidy afterwards. We are delighted with our new conservatory and wouldn't hesitate to use Howard Caine Conservatories again.

During the winter of 2009/10 the snow and ice caused excess weight on the conservatory roof which, I thought, caused the roof to slip and resulted in a gap between a panel of glass and the aluminium frame. During the course of 2009 I had a variety of companies visit the property and all of them came up with a different reason for the problem, along with various different solutions, most of which resulted in a replacement roof for a huge cost. I had one firm come in to repair, it wedged it up with a pole and then decided it was too much and left. By June 2011 I had just about given up with the whole thing but called Andy and Leon over to have a look. Their thoroughness was most enlightening. They pointed out things in areas that none of the other chaps had even looked. I’m not just talking about the sharp salesmen either, there were builders that didn’t bother to look beyond the end of their noses as well. The amount of work that was required (mainly, it turned out, due to the initial build of the conservatory) was staggering. A section of the garage roof needed taking apart and rebuilding. For what was done the price seemed very reasonable, and the standard of the work was exceptionally high. However the most impressive thing was that as much of what was already there was used to keep the costs down. Most of those I had in to look wanted to scrap just about everything and charge me for a whole new roof. I’m sure there were some new materials required, but it is very refreshing to have someone make use of what’s already there, particularly in the modern day ‘recycle, recycle, recycle’ mantra. I was called over to see various things, many of which could have been ignored and/or hidden to make the job easier and cheaper. We agreed a price upfront, and although that was for the job to be done, Andy didn’t look to renegotiate every time he discovered another bit of shoddy workmanship that resulted in more work. Andy made an initial visit and explained what could be done with my extremely hot in summer, conservatory. It was over 10 years old and he explained that roof panels had improved considerably since the initial installation (by another firm). He advised me on possibilities to cure the problem, gave me choices to think about and estimates for each choice - he provided me with samples of different types of panels. He arranged for me to visit a conservatory he was working on to help my decision. I thought he was very knowledgeable and experienced. When I had chosen the material to be used, he phoned to arrange a date and arrived very promptly. He and his fellow worker worked very efficiently - they left the conservatory in an immaculate state. I am extremely pleased with my new roof panels. They did an excellent job. And were very helpful and courteous throughout.

Some of our conservatory roof panels had moved, so we decided to replace them all with new Heat Shield panels. Andy and Leon arrived on time each day and worked exceptionally hard. Our roof now looks like new and I'm sure the Heat Shield panels will give us a more useable conservatory. Andy and Leon were very professional tradesmen and we are very happy with the finished roof. Great work. I am really pleased with my new windows and door. They look great and finished to a really high standard. I was never at any point given a hard sell, they gave me a good price upfront that I didn't need to haggle on. Andy and Leon were both friendly and helpful. Not only did they fit the windows, but put the blinds back up for me which I wasn't expecting and fitted my new cat flap for me also. Really went the extra mile. Not only all this but made sure Olly the cat was locked in safe and sound before they left for the evening, great cat sitters as well as window fitters! Trusted them 100% with the house keys to come and go whilst I was at work.

Andy came as one of several companies to quote for a small conservatory to be erected between a party wall and a single storey kitchen extension. No walls had right-angles, weather-boarding covered some areas, two drains had to be dealt with and block paving groundwork to be made damp proof and warm underfoot. Andy gave a very detailed outline of the work to be carried out and discussed possible problems during his initial visit. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about solving the problems and considered the project a challenge to be surmounted. Because of this, with the fact he was a local, small business (not like another company, who continued to harrass with phone calls even after being told the job was being dealt with) and having sent a quote and drawings quickly, a deal was done. A date and prospective timescale was confirmed and the work began on time with Richard, the builder, completing the preliminary ground work and wall (needed to square the space for erecting the conservatory) in good time for Andy and Leon to complete the work in exactly the time arranged. The whole team worked, mainly unsupervised, in an efficient and skillful way, taking great pride in giving every part an excellent finish. They were friendly, polite and handed over the site as clean as they found it after giving advice on FENSA, keys, locks and aftercare. The heatguard polycarbonate roof has already proved to reduce overheating on the hottest day in 2011so far, but kept us warm on the following dreary, damp and chilly day! The conservatory fits the space like a glove and looks very smart with its row of fancy filials along the roof ridge. Andy, Leon and Richard were left with the responsibility of locking up doors and gates and were very trustworthy... even when having to deal with two indoor cats who constantly tried to escape! We highly recommend this team on all accounts. Many thanks to all for a splendid job!

We have quite a large lean-to conservatory which had 2 or 3 leaks from the roof. We called in Andy who assured us he could repair the roof and told us exactly what had happened to cause the leaks. The guys were very professional and despite finding more faults as they went along managed to solve the problem that other companies hadn't wanted to touch through fear of making things worse! We have just had 2 days of rain and are drip free!! Great job.

We choose Howard Caine Conservatories in the first place because they were very helpful on the phone and didn't try to sell to us. Our job was not straight forward as our ground was sinking and we thought it would need pilling, however Andy at Howard Caine advised us of some less expensive options and even put us in touch with a builder who did all the groundwork. Andy and his team were clean, tidy, polite and friendly at all times. I had no hesitation to leave my keys with them when I had to go out and even gave them keys so they could get in the next morning so not to wake me at the crack of dawn. I changed my mind several times about the design so every aspect was checked and double checked with me so there was no worry that they would get it wrong. Heavy snowfall delayed our job for four days but at the end of the week they worked through a complete weekend to finish on time nothing was too much trouble. I would totally recommend their workmanship and experience and the finished result was a first class job, just what we hoped for, very happy.

Had an old conservatory that was badly leaking. Andy was happy to give advice over the phone, which was appreciated and then visited to investigate. They spotted that it had been badly designed and were honest enough to say I would be wasting money if I had it repaired. I asked them to take it down for me, which they did with no fuss. They are both really nice guys, and very helpful. Glad I found them.
