Having an old house with varying wall thickness, door widths and heights we needed custom door linings to be made, Ian made and installed 7x white oak door linings and hung 8x oak doors for us. The linings are great, handmade, perfectly finished, solidly installed, square and true, screw holes plugged and nail holes filled. All doors were hung with equal attention to detail, hinge and latch recesses accurately and neatly chiselled out, all door handles perfectly aligned. I cannot fault Ian's work at all - solid workmanship, attention to detail, neat, tidy, professional, on time, helpful - I will certainly use him again for any carpentry!

We asked Ian to fit engineered wood floor boards to our hallway and supply and fit a fitted entrance doormat. Ian provided very useful guidance on the door threshold strips that we needed to buy. During the work itself, Ian overcame several problems with our skirting boards and the wiring that run under them. He also took care to come up with a floor board laying pattern that looked good and minimised wastage. Ian exhibited attention to detail and excellent communications throughout. There was also good follow-up for a small snag that needed fixing: Ian came back to re-trim a door that I saw was making contact with the threshold strip. Overall: good advice, good work, a fair price and good customer service. I strongly recommend Inexwood and will ask them to quote for future wood work!
