There really should be photos to fully show the excellent transformation of my dilapidated outbuilding into a modern utility room with toilet. I am extremely pleased with the work that was done on my Kitchen. Jim exceeded my expectations with a job that was very trying. I had purchased my kitchen from the internet (which I do not recommend) which was incomplete and difficult to fit because of the poor quality. However, given the difficult materials to work with Jim persevered and I now have a complete kitchen which has been fitted to a very high quality. Because of my mistake in ordering poor quality materials there were additional costs that I had to bear due to the additional labour and materials, Jim was very understanding and fair with his prices for this additional work. I would very much recommend J and M Building Services Ltd. To anyone thinking of having any building work done on their house.

The Bathroom and Toilet were completed to my satisfaction - the quality of workmanship and materials were both to a high standard. Additional work that was required was brought to my attention in an open and honest way and additional costs were very fair. All round I am glad I employed J and M Building Services to install my new Bathroom and Toilet and would most certainly recommend them to any one looking for a builder.

The work completed was to a good standard, and the price we were quoted was very accurate and Jim was very happy to oblige to any extra things we wanted along the way. They always tidied after themselves and kept the mess to a minimal. It took slightly longer to finish than anticipated but this was through things that couldn't be helped and we were kept informed at all times. I would definately recommend them to family and friends and will be rebooking them in the near future for more work. All in all we were very satisfied with work done.

No reservations about the quality of work and they were flexible in listening to my individual requests. Price quoted was all inclusive and there were no hidden extras. In all one satisfied customer.

An excellent builder. Jim worked on a house I let to students in Southsea. He removed a brick wall between two rooms, made good the walls and ceiling and then fitted a new kitchen (including a rewire) and tiled the floor. Extras over the estimate were entirely legitimate and sensibly priced. I wasn't there for most of the work but was very pleased with the result.

His quote was fair, competitive and he was the first trade person to reply and to visit my house to quote. He turned up on time each day and was exceptionally tidy considering he was removing walls! We found Mr Tyler a polite, neat and unobtrusive presence. He did not try to rush his work which needed more than one visit as the wall treatments required time to dry. He also reduced his quote accordingly when he found on closer inspection that more drastic treatment was not required. We are very pleased with his work.

The work was of an excellent standard and Mr. Tyler and his work mate were pleasant to have around. My only comment is that (and perhaps we should have queried this first);the estimate was for the whole job and didn't itemise anything so we weren't sure what separate items cost. Although I have given 9 for time keeping I think this was largely due to traffic problems and they always did a full days work to make up for any (slightly) late starts. I would, and have, recommended J&M builders.

Took over a month from quote to getting the work done. Had to let us down on a previous scheduled date, due to being unable to pick up door from supplier. This company was meant to do more work for us, this never happened as we got frustrated with having to contact him to find out why. They postponed the work 3 times, before we gave up and sought another trader. I would recommend them.

Yes I was late on fitting their double glazed door due to it not being ready from my supplier when I went to collect it. I let the customer know that day and re arranged and everything was fine. I fitted the door as arranged and the customer was very happy with the quality of the work undertaken. However I made arrangements to do some remedial work in their bathroom at a later date, but dut to family issues in Stroud Glos I failed to keep that date. The customer phoned me on my way to Stroud Glos and jogged my memory that I was due to start work on the bathroom the next day a Saturday, I tried to explain, and offer another date but the customer did not want it. I would not be happy to work for this couple again.
