Even when challenged by some asbestos John explained fully to me the situation and how that caused some problems but instantly came up with a solution so the job was still achieved and looked great. Jon made a site visit and explained exactly what was required followed by a very prompt estimate. The work was arranged to start but thwarted by rain, Jon refused to open up roof in case of further internal damage. We managed to get two consecutive dry days and Jon and Phil arrived at agreed time, worked without a break to get roof watertight on day 1 and again on day 2 worked until job was finished. At all times they were professional, polite and tidy. Final account was exactly as estimate. Highly recommended.

We were very happy with the work that JCE roofing did for us repointing a chimney and end wall. John's quotation was competitive and in the end the work on our end wall cost a little less as it was in better condition than anticipated. Polite and approachable he arrived on time and completed the work to schedule. He arranged to come back once the scaffolding had been dismantled to check the work over and make any repairs. We'd definitely hire him again.

Sorry for late reply, I contacted 8 contractors from this site - 5 turned up 2 didn't bother and 1 said he had too much work at the time. John was the only contractor who actually had a look by lifting the tiles in the roof corner where the problem was and removing them to have a good look. He was only one of two who would give me a written quote which he did by email, I found his pricing very competitive and he was also local, we agreed a date by e-mail and he telephoned on the day to keep me updated due to poor weather we re-scheduled to the afternoon, he turned up on time both got on with the job - no messing. John has restored my faith in this website as this is the 3rd time I have had to sort this same problem out 2nd time using Roofers from this site. I cannot recommend John highly enough.
