Jeff gave a competitive quote but unlike most contractors gave insight into a better and cheaper way of doing things than we had thought. The job was big and although ran longer than anticipated it was done efficiently and as quickly as possible. The finished product is a driveway that works, looks great and sets the house off perfectly. Jeff and Alex work hard, work weekends if necessary and were exactly what you hope all trades will be when you employ them.

This was a large job requiring both experience and expertise. The project took ten weeks and we went out to tender to six other suppliers. Jeff Roots won the tender against stiff competition based primarily on competence, flexibility and naturally cost. The design was complex and included levelling a sloping rear garden on two levels, building retaining walls with steps, pathways, two bases for shed and summerhouse and 2 lawns. At the front a new drive, raised brick flowerbeds, pathways and lawn. We complicated his life by adding around ten extra items of work as the project progressed and Jeff took this in his stride, he was great to have around respectful of our privacy, consultative in all areas, made various suggestions for improvement which we took on board, saved us additional money on changing materials, the quality of the finished job is superb and on top of all this he came in under budget! If your reading this snap him up, he was a real find. We have other landscape work to be done in the future and we now wouldn't use anyone else. They worked none stop for two weeks in freezing temperatures. They even had to remove a gate and a small wall for the mini-digger to gain access to the back garden which they re installed and rebuilt. Their finished work is exactly what we wanted.
