Drained down heating and replaced air vent on cylinder.
It is difficult to comment on the quality of workmanship for something you don't understand.  However all seems well and James makes it clear that I should contact him straight away if there are any problems.

Cleaned pump and shower fitters and tested.
Had 2 other plumbers find a diagnoses the issue, but Jim worked it out in an hour. Very good and strongly recommended.
