“I called him in to fix a gas leak which had been pin pointed by the gas board. He gave me a quote. He stayed 20 minutes and charged me quoted price I had expected a much bigger job, I did not receive a receipt. That would work out to a very good hourly rate One can imagine how I felt. After phoning, I have now received an invoice after phoning twice, which is not itemised”

Response from Jonathan Davidson Heating and Plumbing:
I was called for an emergency callout to repair a gas leak and re-instate the customers gas supply that had been capped off. I verbally quoted them a figure which the customer and his wife agreed and let me carry out the work. Once completed the customer got very irate because in his mind he thought I was going to do something that I didn't need to do which was replace some pipe. He verbally abused me in his house which I found to be extremely insulting. I was so shocked I left in a hurry and forgot to give them an invoice. The customer then phoned for one which I emailed to him. Then I received an abusive phone call in which the customer threatened me, said I was a con man, and said if I didn't give him a full refund he would leave negative feedback here. He also said I should have charged him no more than what he was charged for someone to look at his dishwasher! He also said he could have done the job himself, which is illegal. The whole thing is completely ridiculous.
