Sourced from Checkatrade, came to give quote on time, a reasonable price, knowledgeable on products and time to carry out the work. At the commencement of work, they were punctual, careful in setting up and keeping furnishings and property covered. Very pleasant personalities, polite and good humoured even when we needed to change some of the work specification. Will use again as they are booked to do some more for us soon.

Having been very pleased with work the K&J team had done for me previously (complete refurb of a bedroom) I was very confident in using them again. This second job involved the refurb of my kitchen - replacement of worktops and skirting boards and the installation of new hob, oven and sink and re-painting. They also painted my lounge and dining room, hall/landing/stairs and another bedroom. Throughout all the work Kevin, John and Charlie were helpful, arrived on time and kept things as clean and tidy as possible. They also cheerfully coped with me changing my mind about paint colours/finishes and my additional requests for the supply and fit of coving and architrave. They go the extra mile to ensure that their customer is happy and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Firstly it would be good for people to know my husband and I have very high standards and we warned Kevin about our expectations prior to him taking on the job. Initially the job was just meant to be plastering the lounge and conservatory and fitting the air conditioning unit. As you can see the job expanded! If you choose to read on for a more detailed description please feel free but you could stop at this point - would we recommend - YES, all being well Kevin and the team will be back in the summer for the next project Hall, stairs, landing and Utility room and the next... The team are always very courteous and we had a number of contractors from electricians, plasterers, decorators etc. A pleasure to have in our home! The workmanship was as I expected, even when there was a blip area on the plastering, nothing was too much trouble and it was sorted. I would also point out you could not see the blip until the lights were on at night but they were back immediately and resolved this for us. Reliability and Time keeping - there when they said they would be! It is good to find a reliable company thank you Kevin and team.

In my opinion II am very disappointed with most aspects of the work carried out. The painting I feel was done to a very poor standard with very little prep work being done with painting over old and flaking paint. They did not remove any radiators and there are spots of paint left over my windows, floor and glass fronted fridge and other surfaces. The wall paper was badly hung with tears concealed which I only noticed after paying for the work. I have had to make good some of the work myself. The floating shelf which they hung has been installed incorrectly and again has had to be corrected by myself. After fitting a radiator the trader managed to air lock the system, only to try and blame it on my boiler telling me I need to call out British Gas to look at it. I have since bled the system myself and once again it was fine. I would not recommend this company.

In response to the customers feedback. I feel that I have to disagree with their comments. Our work is carried out to our normal high standards as can be seen from our other positive feedback. There were a few snags that were brought to our attention on this job but these were resolved with the customer and they paid in full at the end of the job, if they were not happy why would they pay me? I was also complimented on my work and I was told that they were happy with the end result. I am surprised to see their comments and feel that if there was a problem that they would have given me the opportunity to put things right.

John and Charlie were excellent to work with. They arrived at 8am each morning on the dot so I was never late for work waiting for them to arrive. They left the house as they'd found it each evening, even washing up their own mugs. The quality of the glossing was excellent and we'll be having the same company back in the spring to paint some of the upstairs.

I thoroughly recommend this company. Faultless in every aspect. The work commenced on the planned day and they reliably started work every morning. Always tidy and courteous. K&J (Kevin and John) had already been highly recommended to us by friends and we were not disappointed. In fact they were easily the best decorators we have had in the past 25 years of us not doing it ourselves. Of course the most important aspect is the finished job and that was superb - faultless in fact. However, it is equally important that workers should be polite and personable, punctual and tidy and K&J ticked all the boxes in that respect. In fact, we felt so safe and secure with them that we left the house open (in their charge) whilst we went shopping. In short K&J are true workmen who know their craft inside out and who work hard all day (no time wasting) and who produce a superb result. Their prices are also very competitive. It may seem as though I have written an over-flattering report but in truth they deserve the high reputation they have earned.

Having been let down by another trader it was encouraging to find that the team from K&J did everything they said they would on time, professionally and to budget. What had been a run-down bedroom with a cracked ceiling, uneven walls, ugly skirting boards and a poor paint job now looks smart and fresh. K&J handled the plastering, carpentry and decoration (painting and wall papering) and I would recommend them. I have already asked them for a quote for work elsewhere in my house.

K&J and colleagues did an excellent job. I'd give 9.5 if I could. I would recommend K&J for two main reasons: 1) They are able to do a complete job - no 'sorry mate, we don't touch plumbing/plastering etc.' We had two quite 'non-standard' tasks, difficult ceilings to replace and a much-abused wooden staircase to refurbish. Both tasks were done very well. 2) They do a professional job, turning up when they say they do and charging what they say they will. They were not the lowest quote we received but they are worth what they charge (which isn't especially high). They also looked after the house well and were friendly to have around. I'd definately recommend highly.
