This is the second time that I have used Mr Barnard for roof repairs (both entirely different repairs!!) and, as before, he was friendly, polite, reliable and got the job done quickly and efficiently. There was a leak coming through a bedroom ceiling when it rained heavily. We had various quotes, all quite different and all with slightly different opinions on what the problem was. Mr. Barnard's assessment of the situation was the simplest and seemed to make sense and so we decided to use him. He seems to have fixed the problem because in the few rainy times that we've had since the beginning of the year we haven't seen any leaking and every time I touch the hole that developed in the ceiling I get showered with dust!! If we need more work done on our roof I shall not hesitate to get back in touch.

Work was completed quickly and additional work that I requested was completed at the same time for a small additional fee, agreed upfront. Mr Barnard was friendly, polite and helpful (even pointing out a wasps nest that needs sorting out). The cost was definitely competitive, they turned up to the house early and all in all I would highly recommend them. The only issue I had was trying to get hold of them on the phone was a bit tricky but Jeanette always eventually returned the calls and was friendly and helpful when reached.

On looking at the roof Mr Barnard was the only roofer who said it didn't need replacing, so instead of £2500-£3500 it only cost £400. The heavy snowfall of late 2010 delayed the visit but I was kept informed and the work was carried out at the first real window in the weather. Subsequent wet weather has stayed outside.

Following heavy snow fall the snow guard and guttering were smashed, Ken came round the same day, Saturday, and gave a quote which he stuck to. Because of further heavy snow the scaffolders were unable to get to us until 23rd Dec, Ken came the same day, did the work, cleared the site and had the scaffolding removed all in a couple of hours as promised before Christmas. Very pleased with his commitment.

I had some serious damp / mould on the inside of 1 of our bedroom walls under the window. I wasn't sure if this due to condensation or something more serious and need professional advice. Ken had previously done work for us which we were very happy with so ask him to investigate. Turned out to be condensation so no work required besides cleaning the wall. Ken advised how to improve air circulation within house to minimise condensation. Very honest and helpful despite not gaining any work out of it. He was on time, professional and would certainly use Ken in the future.
