I have known Kevin, and his work for about 18 years. He is reliable and will always phone if unable to come on agreed date. His work is good and he has a good eye for landscaping. He is now watching that his changes are not to high. I would be happy to recommend them.

Complete garden clear up, shrub pruning, flower bed clearance, weeding and edging

Our garden had got completely out of hand and was very overgrown. We are really pleased with the work Kevin has done, he has found our garden again! He has cut back and attended to the mature shrubs we wanted to keep, cleared the beds and patio and restored some order to the chaos. He worked really hard over 3 days, tidied up and cleared away rubbish as he went along and was really helpful. We are really happy with his work.

Clearance of grass/patio. Laying of patio/grass/borders

In my opinion I feel that the quality of the work  is poor. The sub base for the patio is inadequate which is sinking and crumbling, even prior to the patio being laid. Cement used for brick edging is crumbling, yellow in colour which indicates in my opinion that too much sand was used. I feel that the trader  is unreliable and has poor time keeping. We still have discrepancies in the quote. I feel that I was overcharged for the materials and the labour, we now find ourselves struggling to have the overpayment reimbursed and the trader is requesting more money. Overall we feel that we have had a bad experience with the trader with many issues yet to be resolved and garden work still is not finished even though the work started on the 30th august 2011.

I am obviously very upset that for the first time in 25 years of being in business I have a situation like this. The price for the job was accepted by the customer 2 months prior to the job commencing along with the slab sample. . I completed patio base, brick edging, laid new lawn and put in plants, all satisfactory to the client at the time. In the middle of the job the customer started to talk about changing the slabs and started to look at different samples, the customer ordered a few online samples therefore I could not continue any further until they had come. This effected the timing of the job and held me up continuing for several days. Customer found a slab which was double the price of the slab that I had quoted for. They could not afford the new slab at present therefore they told me to finish the job as it was and they would contact me when they had saved up the extra money. The only part of the job I did not complete was the laying of the actual patio. I deducted the labour and the materials from the agreed price and to date funds remain outstanding from the customer.
