In my opinion lack of communication, I emailed them requesting that they provide a side panel fro the boiler cover this was not done and then I had to try and source this my self and a reduction in price but they would not do this.

There was lack of communication, most of the contact was by email. The customer sent me an email, that she had sent to her previous kitchen supplier,and what they had replied to her about a panel.From that l should have assumed l was supposed to go and get a panel, but l would not have had anything to match it with?On the day of the work, the panel was mentioned to Steve,(may l say this was also not priced in with the work, or it would have been quite clear on her quote.The customer then tried to source a panel (l did offer to do this) but found it to be to expensive.Steve suggested that he could make a panel from MDF and then it could be painted to match her doors/units.
This the customer accepted and at the time was very pleased, as Steve did not charge her for the MDF or fitting it.On phoning to make the final payment, the customer was hoping to get a discount, and because there was no reasonfor us to give a discount, she then became very negative.

In my opinion this trader is the most argumentative and I felt their manner could have been better. There was no way of telling the her she was wrong. I was uncomfortable the trader getting her partner to deal with the situation.

We are limited to a certain amount of words in response to negative feedback, this response could not be done in limited words, and l filled an A4 page and had to change it. I feel l deal very well in difficult situations, even though as it’s said "the customer is always right". (To a degree). In my opinion not this time. I found the customers manner could have been better, on at least four occasions to me and once to my partner. We bent over backwards for this customer, whatever we did he wanted more, pushing with what I feel was a poor attitude the whole time, the order was supply only of (2 Carcases- 2 Face lifting doors- 2 Handles- Cornice- Pelmet) but what he really wanted was free fitting. Because of a manufacturering fault he advised me to get a replacement, assemble it and deliver it, we did, supply only doors do not come pre-drilled all customers are told this, but the customer insisted he wasn’t told, so Steve drilled his doors, he ordered a panel, he claims l ordered the wrong one, the saga goes on and on. I found that he upset me on more than one occasion, and l fell that I can no longer deal with this customer. He received all the materials he ordered.
