Lock Assist was started 9 years ago by Paul Harper-Smith who was taken on as an apprentice by his uncle in 1983.  Colin Harper-Smith worked at for a Locksmith company for many years before starting his own locksmith' s business in 1971.

We have 3 full time employed locksmiths including a time served carpenter so as well as locks, we can also upgrade and replace doors - particularly fire doors - including intumescent fire and smoke seals, stainless stell, ball-bearing hinges to BS EN 1935 and door closers to BS EN 1154.

We have a large a varied base of commercial contract customers and domestic customers and offer a 24 hour emergency service if you find yourself locked out or have keys stolen.
