Lucas Electrics is a small, family run firm and we understand the importance of providing a professional service that meets the needs of all our customers.

This means that we are reliable, efficient and friendly in all our dealings. Crucially, we are able to keep our prices competitive and labour costs free of VAT.

Mathew Carver, head of Lucas Electrics is an NAPIT approved electrician.

He has been qualified for 20 years. During this time he has undertaken everything from complete hospital refits to changing domestic light switches. Originally from Australia, Mathew now lives in Brighton with his family.

Lucas Electrics will undertake all domestic electrical work. We have never come across anything that we can't handle in the home and are glad of a challenge! We offer rewiring, downlights, consumer units, safety testing and telephone points and much, much more.

We also carry out commercial and industrial installations, offering expertise in air conditioning, fire detection and emergency lighting systems as well as periodic inspection, PAT testing and general rewiring.

As specialists in home and building automation, we offer a range of systems to cover all areas of the market. Using the experience of our associate Professional Certified Designers we are able to deliver all sizes of project from apartments to country estates

Repaired a broken cable.

They were contacted when an insulation company drilled through an electric cable. They were on site within a hour, repaired it, tidied up and left within 45 mins. I would recommend them.

Removal of old and installation of new fire/smoke alarm system; relocation of wall to ceiling lighting (in eaves); tracing and removal of redundant cabling; replacement and addition of sockets and lighting as necessary.

James was superb in his attitude, ideas and energy. The work increased during the time at the house but he adapted quickly and was able to pre-empt others matters/made suggestions. Would definitely use again.

Replacing lighting in kitchen area

The work was completed to a high standard and the workers were reliable and could be trusted to work in the property while the owner was away. Very clean and tidy after the work finished. Tender was exactly as invoiced. Friendly team.

Child proofing a loose socket

I needed to child proof a couple of loose sockets in the house. I asked Lucas Electrics to come around check out what was involved after I got home from work. An engineer turned up who was very helpful and friendly. To my great delight the sockets were fixed on the spot for a very minor fee. I would wholeheartedly recommend Lucas Electrics.

Dimmer Switches checked and fixed, downlight fixed and bulbs replaced
