He was employed to refurbish our plumbing, install a new bathroom and separate shower room. Tiler that he employed let us down the night before. He assured us he would finish the bathroom, but let us down because a larger job had come in. We have had to employ others to finish the work. All other trades we used were 100% reliable and on time.

I feel the above feedback is totally unacceptable, I was always going to finish this work, but because I had started a new job the next available date I was able to get back was 24th April, which they were not happy with and told me they were going to get someone else to finish. I explained that as a sole trader I need a bit of notice to book work in as I am very busy. With that I felt the communication with the customer broke down and he told me not to come back.

Matt was brilliant. He works really hard and produces a professional finish. I can't fault him. At the end of each day, he cleared up any mess. He is considerate (i.E. Closing exterior windows to reduce dust coming in form where he was working outside) I rate his work so highly, I have already recommended Matt to friends and will be booking him to re-fit my kitchen later in the year. It was refreshing to use a tradesman who is so clearly proud of his work and so professional.

Delighted with Matthew's work. He had to install washbasin in existing cloakroom and re-hang door. Completely renovate existing bathroom installing shower and pump. Walls had to be partially taken down and stud walls put up in 16th century cottage - nothing fazed him. He is also excellent carpenter. Very professional - would have no hesitation in recommending him to other customers.

We had water coming up through our ensuite floor one Sunday evening. Matthew was able to come out on Monday, have a look, assure us all was ok till the next day and then he came and fixed it all with a minimum of fuss. All very efficient!

I installed a new boiler in a house but needed a good quality cupboard built but it needed to be hand made as cupboard space was not a standard size so I employed MSW to carry out the work. I have had to pay a plumber to redo all elements of trader' s work. Poor work has meant I have had huge extra costs, I am still discovering his mistakes and poor quality work.

Response from MSW Carpentry & Plumbing:
I was the second plumber on site at this new build to help another plumber speed up the completion of works. The plumber had already completed 50% of the work which was mainly the first fix. When the first fix was completed we tested all the pipework which showed many leaks and faulty connections which had been carried out before I got on site. I fitted a shower valve and when tested did not work. The customer felt that the leaks and shower valve problems were down to my work and did not want to employ my services anymore. Since that time the first plumber contacted me to say that in fact the valve fitted in the shower was faulty and was not my fault. I have contacted the customer to ask him about this but unfortunately he did not want to discuss this matter any further.
