Re-plastering Bathroom Ceiling

I contacted Master Plaster (Matthew) having reviewed his previous work on this website. The job was to cover over a textured bathroom ceiling which had been damaged by water dripping down from the flat above. Matthew arrived promptly yesterday morning and completed the work well within the estimated time. The quality of the work was excellent leaving an ultra-smooth surface for painting. The bathroom was left spotless which I wasn't expecting since previous contractors leave such a mess. Matthews quote was very competitive and he responded to all my emails quickly and informatively. I would definitely use Matthew again and have absolutely no qualms in recommending him as a first rate plasterer.

Very disappointing, did not turn up when promised, I felt that he was not experienced in large areas of rendering, quality of work below expectations plus left everything very messy, plaster stains all over new patio and we cannot open some of the windows fully.

In response to the customers comments. I feel very disappointed with their feedback. At the end of the job the customer confirmed that they was happy with my work and paid in full. All I had to do was to go back and tidy up the area where I had been working. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel this appointment with the customer but mentioned I would be able to come the following day. Unfortunately, the customer was not very happy about this and declined my offer. I feel that I have not been given the opportunity to resolve any issues they may have had in this matter.

I feel very disappointed with the scores I received from this customer. In my opinion I did all I could do to please the customer. I had a combination of problems while carrying out the work, starting with having to hire a tower out of my own pocket as there was no scaffolding, which made the job twice as hard. The weather was also another issue which I did explain to the customer, it was wet and windy and then we had an Indian summer I had to contend with. I'm not saying the job was 100% as this was just not possible to achieve but in my opinion it was not a bad job. Lastly I would like to add that I lost money on carrying out this job and feel aggrieved as I put a lot of hard work into it.
