Repair a wall damaged by water leak
Matt came and give a good appraisal and quote for the repair work based on the knowledge at the time - with a water leak you never know for sure what the true work will be until it is stripped back. Additional work was found because of shoddy work that had been done previously to block up an old chimney place. We found Matt very reliable and good worker. On the odd occasion when he knew he would not be with on the expected date due to arising on another job, he informed us promptly and in good time. We would have him back any day safe in the knowledge that we'd get a good job done.

Knocked kitchen, dining room and utility room into one large area. Also did plastering, tiling, plumbing, wooden flooring and fitted new kitchen units.
Matt was polite, friendly and hard working. He tidied up at the end of the day, kept us abreast of developments and stuck to his quote. He carried out the work to a very high standard and we were delighted with the final result. We would certainly use him again and highly recommend him to others.

Complete renovation of small bathroom.
Matthew pulled out the old bathroom and rebuilt a new, more modern one. The general design and the choice of materials showed excellent taste and the few problems encountered were solved quickly. Although suffering from a bad cold, he was determined to complete the work within a reasonable time span and, indeed, achieved this. There was absolutely no difficulty about the price to be paid; he kept strictly within estimate. A very pleasant young man, honest, and easy to get on with. I am very pleased indeed with the whole business, and recommend him unreservedly.

Complete renovation of kitchen bathroom and upstairs bedroom.
Matt was with us for 3 months converting our utility room into a bathroom, he removed the french doors and replaced them with a window. Matt removed the window in the dining room and put new french doors into the gap to create a new exit to our back garden. He also removed the old bathroom from upstairs and completely re-plastered the room and organised the electrics to be installed to give a third top quality bedroom. We had electrics put into our dining room so give us extra plug sockets. Matt also ripped out our fire place and created a modern look in our lounge. Matt also gutted our kitchen and re-fitted a brand new one to a very high standard. Matt was very obliging when we came across other changes we wanted to implement and of course other problems which arose during the project and it was never any trouble for him to bring our ideas to life. Matt is a very professional builder and his work is excellent we couldn't have wished for a better person to carry out our work. I would recommend Matt to anyone and he has posted pictures of our house on his website which we are please that others can see his top quality workmanship. Thanks Matt.

Plastering hall/stairs/landing and completely fitting new bathroom
The work was done in 2009. Matt came to my house at short notice after I was let down by someone else. He plastered my hall stairs and landing. After he started work the bathroom fitter also let me down (after the room was gutted completely at his request) and Matt saved the day. Not only did he offer to do it for me he had some great suggestions and gave a far better quote. His brother even gave the hallway a coat of paint to earn some money so that the walls were not bare. He was friendly, polite and could be trusted to get on. I will definitely use him again on my next project.
