Work involved ground clearance and laying a patio around a garage and next to fences. No damage done to anything as far as I can see. The standard of the work is exceptional with tiny bits of brick being cut to accomplish the required finish. Very happy with the result.

This was a landscaping and total refurbishment of a garden, including removal of derelict shed, removal of old patio, and replacement with a new laid stone patio and grass area, all on one level with pathways around. From the initial site visit and drawing up of plans, to the start of the project it was apparent that New Forest Landscapes are professional and efficient. There was no hard sell, purely an honest and direct assessment of work needed. Between 3 and 5 men worked on our garden for two weeks. The standard of workmanship , time-keeping through to tidiness was exemplary each and every day. All the workers were without exception unfailingly polite and focused from start to finish. To give a score of 10/10 on every count is quite extraordinary, but my wife and I can honestly say that after two weeks and now on seeing the finished result we are quite satisfied that there is no area of their work that could have been improved upon. The garden looks absolutely fantastic and we would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks very much !

My brief for NFL was to grub out and clear my front garden of shrubs, old plants and turf and carry out work as per my plans. To construct a retaining wall of rendered laid-down breeze block, capped with half round terracotta ridge tiles. To give a level gravelled area to two thirds of what was a sloping garden with a grouping of three (1 x 1 metre and 2 x 2/3rd metre) plumb slate obelisks positioned as per my plan. To lay out a basic green slate chipping ‘dry pond’ with Welsh slate rock edging at the top of the other third of the garden, leading to a sloping dry bed stream of the same slate chippings. This basic groundwork was carried out exactly in accordance with my plans so I could create a western style Japanese garden. I obtained 3 quotes and was impressed by NFL’s professionalism from the first phone call: they weren't the cheapest quote but their price was competitive. On Victoria’s first visit, I outlined my design brief and plans and her estimate was based on that information. The company came back with a prompt and detailed estimate with their date for commencing work and contract conditions (all in plain English). Once the estimate had been accepted and a 50% deposit paid they arrived on the scheduled day. Due to bad weather upsetting their schedules on other jobs they informed me they had another job to finish from the previous week which was fine with we as they were honest and up-front. On day 3 they returned and through sheer hard graft still finished the work within the 5 working days as estimated. All work was carried out in a professional manner and all members of staff I came in contact with were friendly and obliging. The site was left tidy at the end of each day with all old materials being removed daily. I can wholeheartedly recommend NFL. Work done included new fencing, paths and step, removing raised gardens, removing a mature tree, lifting and replanting shrubs, laying turf with cobbled border to a beautiful curvasious shape, all of which were presented in a detailed plan and estimation of cost. Alex and James are fortunate that they have a skilled team working with them, all of whom specialise in certain aspects of landscaping, Scot the fencer, Dave the patio, and Sean the strongman, great guys who take a pride in their work, and a pleasure to have around, even my dogs liked them (in the end). I was given a very clear estimate of the cost of work to be done which was started promptly. During site clearance some changes needed to be made to drainage due to utilities being closer to the surface than expected but this was achieved, after consultation, with great care and without affecting the finished appearance of the work. The tradesmen were prompt, polite and mindful of neighbours access when working and left the site and road clean and tidy at the end of each day. Alex's suggestions for the colour, finish and pattern of the paving and retaining sleeper wall were all excellent. These resulted in a beautiful paved frontage which complements and enhances the look of the house, providing more flexible parking and opportunities to experiment with new container planting. I am very pleased with the end result and the 5 year guarantee to support the workmanship.

We had a full garden redesign and landscaping to both front and rear of our property with several quotes obtained from like-for-like companies. When it came to the consultation from New Forest Landscapes, we instantly liked what they were about. You could tell NFL knew what they were talking about pointing out benefits and potential problem areas of the project, which none of the other companies did. Detailed quote was easy to understand and discounts passed on for bulk purchases. Work carried out was to an exceptional standard throughout the project including high levels of detail. On-going consultation throughout the build kept us informed on a daily basis. The team worked hard, were punctual and were extremely courteous, nothing was too much trouble. The build was completed on time and on budget. We were given a stunning and useable garden which we are extremely proud of. From the initial discussion, Alex impressed us with his knowledge, creative suggestions, draft design and detailed information that enabled us to choose between various quotes. Even though we took a while to make a decision, Alex was happy to provide further information when asked. As the job involved both the back and front gardens and was scheduled to take three weeks, we anticipated major disruption: in the event the team did their best to ensure that we and our neighbours were not impacted any more than necessary and the time went very quickly. The team arrived early every day and worked hard, consulting when there were any decisions required and generally keeping the site tidy. Special mention to Matt and Jamie who laid the patio, path and driveway in some very hot weather and to Sean who took down some very tall trees for the initial clearance although credit goes to all the gang who were hard-working and courteous. We are very pleased with the result which is a major improvement on what we had previously: the garden in particular benefits from the curves and cobbles suggested by Alex and the block paved driveway is very impressive. We would happily use NFL again for any future work.

As with any big project, I got 3 quotes before work commenced, and I was impressed by their professionalism from the first phone call. They weren't the cheapest quote but their price was competitive and I was confident that they would be worth every penny. How right I was! The guys were all friendly, professional and hard-working, and a pleasure to have around. They removed the front and side walls and the existing path, took out a couple of trees, dug a new soakaways and laid a smart tumbled block driveway. They showed great attention to detail, even calling the digger back to enlarge the soakaways which they felt was a little too small initially. Nothing was too much trouble. When I asked about a small detail on one of the steps, they immediately came back and adjusted it, and they offer a 5 year guarantee on their work. The driveway looks stunning, and I couldn't be happier. Thank you guys!

It was a particularly tricky area to do, as the front garden had a nasty hedge to remove, 5 drain covers to inset and a demanding design. The boys were very punctual and a pleasure to have around (not able to say that about all tradesmen), they worked efficiently and were courteous to our neighbours and the other road users. The quality of the workmanship was excellent and we have received many positive comments on the transformation. They ensured that the site was left clean and tidy every day and cleaned off the pavement in front of the property. They also ensured that I could access my property with the pushchair.

Alex and his team handled the job brilliantly. They were working on it all the time except for bad weather, and completed within the time expected. Communication was good, and he checked back with both of us regularly if we were still happy. Any misunderstandings were dealt with quickly and cheerfully. Alex worked well with us when a neighbour threatened to cause problems. This was a large, expensive job. We had two quotes, and Alex's was similar to the other quote. It seems Alex's was the right price for this job. On completion he checked in with us, to see if we were happy before they left, He has made another appointment to come back and see if there are any problems in a few weeks. All the people who worked with him were helpful and polite. Happy to chat about what they were doing, but referring back to Alex if they were not sure of the answer. Altogether a good experience, and to be recommended.

Excellent customer service, I was kept fully up to date with progress, activity etc. Staff were extremely polite, knowledgeable and experienced. During the work, the team were very considerate of the neighbours and the areas in which they worked, making sure everything was clean and tidy before leaving at the end of each day. I can't recommend New Forest Landscapes highly enough! They were highly professional right through from helping to decide which materials to use (meeting us at the local builders merchants to show us what was available), the quotation, the actual work done and also a follow up call a week or so later to make sure we were totally happy. Alex, James, Paul and the rest of the team worked to a very high standard, were punctual, polite and courteous and always kept us informed of what was happening. They completely transformed our somewhat stark 6m x 12m front garden, removing everything bar 1 tree which we wanted to maintain. They sorted out the drainage by putting in a new soakaway and replacing the existing drain pipes, laid approx 50m2 of block paving, laid the remainder to lawn. Also replaced the front retaining wall and finished off a pathway to the side of the house all in the space of 5 days. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them, and would definitely use them again if the need arises.

After two unfortunate experiences with "landscape gardeners" we were very careful in our dealings with New Forest. However, we could not be happier, the work was carried out punctually, tidily and to the highest professional standards. We approached New Forest Landscapes after having our patio re-constructed by another firm who turned out to be incompetent, such that it started to deteriorate within 18 months. NFL had been one of 3 firms that quoted for that job and we made the wrong choice. How we wish that we had chosen NFL in the first place. The standard of NFL work is very high and they take great pride in their work and their professional name. All of the workforce were very polite and were no trouble to have around our property. We now have a superb patio on several levels and an excellent, paved front driveway. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them nor to use them again for any future project. First visited by James to discuss work for renewal of patio area and received the quote within a week as promised - initially by phone and followed by written confirmation. After acceptance a date was agreed to commence and work expected to take 5 days maximum. After a brilliant start on the Monday removing the existing slabs and subsoil (this was removed through the back of the property, by removing a fence panel, and using a lorry with a grab as there was not enough room for skips to get near to us.) This was a suggestion by James and it saved considerable time in the disposal of the slabs which were old heavy 2 x 2 concrete ones. They then put down the scalping ready for compacting prior to laying the new patio. We then had the only rain for weeks on the following 2 mornings and Alex who was overseeing the work did not want to risk laying the new sandstone patio on wet concrete in wet conditions because it could have become very messy and we were pleased to accept his recommendation to put off the start until the Thursday. All the work would have been finished by the following Monday morning if we had not changed the plans for the edging at the last minute to enhance the work but was completed by the Tuesday afternoon. If not for the 2 days lost all of the work would have been finished well within the promised time scale but we were more that happy to loose the 2 days than have an horrendous mess working in the wet. All the work was carried out within the agreed costings and always very polite. It was a pleasure doing business with Alex and James and we will be asking them back to look at our driveway next year.

Not only took all debris from removing our old fence, they also left us extra fence panels should any crack, and put a gate stop on our gate free of charge. We did have a slab of ugly concrete... we now have an amazing sandstone slab patio and solid path to the garage. Workmanship was amazing, always kept me totally informed about how things were going and for the money it was great value - top notch. One thing to make my point - They even went out to get me milk and sugar when I ran out. Would you get that with your workmen? Look forward to getting the rest of the garden landscaped in the spring.

Alex and his team are excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone else. All of the staff are courteous and knowledgeable. Their tidiness is unbelievable - everything was tidied away every night and you would hardly know they had been here. During the work we had to change one or 2 things as the project developed and this was no problem to Alex whose enthusiasm for the works he was carrying out was infectious. The company have good knowledge of hard and soft landscaping issues unlike some companies we initially approached. We are thrilled with the end result.

What can we say? Alex, James, Martin and his team were excellent. We were very dubious of 'builders' as we had just had a poor experience with the company that had attempted to lay our patio. It was totally out of level and incomplete by some 25m2 before they walked off! Alex and James came round to view the existing patio to make good the existing patio and complete the rest. However we agreed there would be such a difference in the workmanship it would be like chalk and cheese! We therefore decided to take up all the patio and start again, and we are over the moon with the results. It really does look good, the joints are even, the slabs are level and the grey edgings really do finish it off. What we can say is listen to Alex and James, they are very experienced and have the customers needs at the top of their agenda. The works were carried out very efficiently and the area was kept clean and tidy which was very refreshing, they even took our bin bag to the end of the drive for the bin men! If I never saw James in the day he would give me a ring in the evening to make sure everything was ok and to my expectations which was excellent customer service. We can not fault them in any way and would have no hesitation in recommending them. We are inviting them back to quote for the driveway for next years project! Thanks again to Alex and James and the team.

The men that came and worked on the garden were fantastic - they were polite and thoughtful. Alex came and did the initial pricing and discussions about the work and was friendly and knowledgeable, always on the end of a phone if needed. Martin was the man I dealt with the most during the job as he was there everyday. He was outstanding in his professionalism and approach to the job. I left the house open when they were here and I was out so they could use the facilities and make coffee etc. - They were considerate and tidy. I had no problems about leaving them. Fantastic finish and love the outcome.

This was not a straight forward job. The old fence was very difficult to get out and a section of new fence had to be prefabricated as it was up against a neighbours greenhouse so there was no room to nail the boards on. Also some sections required double gravel boards due to the difference in height of the garden next door. I would not hesitate to have them back again.

Having been let down by other traders before we were nervous customers... however NFL were fantastic and we can genuinely say that choosing them was the best decision we made. The work required was more extensive than just a patio or driveway; it needed thought in the original design and ongoing during the implementation. Work was completed to a high standard using up to six personnel at times in order to meet the agreed tight deadline. The team worked well together and did not cut corners to meet the time scale. the partners were engaged at all times and clearly wanted the project to be a success. Communication was excellent throughout. It was great to have a supplier that consulted at all times and openly discussed any options that arose within the agreed plan. I would use this company again and recommend them.
