General work.
Joe Mitchell is a personable and likeable young man. At present he is carrying out internal and external renovations to my house. He is multi talented. The work includes interior re decoration wall papering painting and tiling, fitting kitchen and bathroom furniture plumbing minor electrical works, plastering rendering, joinery and laying of vinyl flooring on laid workmanship on all counts is excellent. would be happy to recommend this company.

Roof Repair and complete Guttering replacement
Probably like many people, the thought of searching to find a competent, professional yet reasonably priced builder was a daunting one - so many horror stories abound. Eventually I decide to trust the feedback on Checkatrade and engage On Build Construction directly through proprietor Joe Mitchell. To say his quote was competitive would be an understatement. For the same figure that another established Hastings company was prepared to merely fix the leak in my roof, Joe was able to completely replace the worn-out lead section as well as supply and fit guttering around the whole of my property! Joe is a young man but with a long pedigree of experience inherited from his father and grandfather, also both builders. He is polite, amiable, knowledgeable and was very helpful in making genuine recommendations presenting cost-effective alternative options. Joe and his team turned up when they were supposed to and worked quickly and efficiently with a minimum of mess and disruption - the standard of workmanship was excellent. To be absolutely honest there was one slight problem, not one that anyone could have allowed for in reality, and I mention it because I feel its resolution is a further credit to On Build. Midway through the project a severe storm hit the town one particular evening (after hours) when my roof was open to the elements save for a tarpaulin cover. The ferocious wind managed to dislodge it enough to allow rain to pour in. A telephone call to Joe saw him back on site extremely quickly and the problem fixed quickly without fuss or drama. In conclusion I cannot recommend On Build highly enough and I have already engaged them to quote for further projects. (No, he is not a relative or friend!!!!)

Mended a hole which flooded kitchen and rebuilt kitchen
From the time Mr Mitchell came to look at the problem I had with my kitchen, I was impressed by his ability to explain the possible causes, what needed to be done and how it would be done. He made many suggestions about options while also listening to me. I took his advice on most things and have been consistently pleased with the results. All through the job, he kept me well-informed about matters large and small. He and his fellow-builders worked hard and were pleasant. He seems to be someone who takes pride in his craft from the biggest matters to the smallest details. I will definitely ask him whenever I need a builder again.
