I have worked for various companies (Builders, Joinery firms and Shop fitters). I started working for myself about 4 years ago.

 I can make and fit doors, windows, replace stair parts (handrails, spindles etc). I also manufacture furniture, fitted wardrobes, shelving/cupboard units etc or free standing items like tables, benches etc.

I fit kitchens and bedroom furniture. This is a small selection of what I do. Most aspects of Carpentry and Joinery can be catered for, also some property maintenance jobs such as repairing/replacing guttering.

I'm a sole trader and mostly work on my own, however if a job requires more than one person I have a trusted acquaintance that I call on. I always turn up for appointments, always try my best to be punctual and treat people as I like to be treated. I have an eye for design and am happy to help plan and design your project.

I can also offer a painting service.

Extensive refurb of our house: new internal doors, 'floating' style shelving, architraves, skirting and handrailing / balustrading on stairs

Following excellent work in our lounge and spare bedroom in January, we asked Peter back to complete the refurb of our house - replacing all internal doors, architraves, skirting and the handrailing / balustrading on our stairs. He also modernised a cupboard, with new 'floating' style shelving and hanging rail. The volume of the work meant Peter was on-site working flat-out for nearly 3 weeks. He is incredibly neat / tidy and the quality of his work is first class. He is also reliable and fully trusted to work alone in our house. We wouldn't hesitate to recomend Peter - and he will be our carpenter of choice for any work in the future.

New doors, skirting boards and architraves, plus transformation of old walk-in-wardrobe to mini-library

Found PM Carpentry via Check-a-Trade and couldn't have been more pleased. Peter visited our property promptly and provided a fast and accurate quotation. He was available to start the job on the requested date, fitting in with our other's tradesman working in the room(s) and completed the jobs to a very high standard. He is returning to refurb further rooms later this year as we are so pleased with the quality of the work, his reliability and professionalism. Highly recommended.

Erecting shelves in a wardrobe

Work done to a very high standard. Peter said that the work would take him half a day and gave a price - it took him longer but he would have still been happy to accept the original price (although I paid a little more). He's now in my phone as my carpenter of choice.
