Steve has done various repair jobs for me over the past few years and has always been tidy, punctual and efficient. This time I had to call him out because my boiler had suddenly given up the ghost. He responded within 30 minutes to a very early morning call, came round immediately, diagnosed the problem and was back with the part to fix it - all within the same morning!

I just had my boiler replaced by Panacea Plumbing and heating and I am extremely happy with the work, my old boiler had broken down and I need a new one fast, they were here with in 30 minutes of me calling them and fitted the work in within two days. They could have taken me for ride since I was in dire need of a new boiler but charged me a fair price and I found them to be polite, honest, clean and reliable. They don't make money on the parts, in fact they allow you to supply your own boiler if you wanted but to be honest their prices are not that much more than what you'd find on the internet. They are worcester registered so any worcester boilers they fit come with 5 years parts and labour warranty and a 10 year heat exchanger Warranty. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We had a boiler replaced about 6 years ago and Steve services the boiler once a year. This summer he updated our system and replaced three radiators and some piping. We now have the most efficient central system once again, and now as the weather gets colder its nice to know that we have a house full of warmth. Steve did a great job for us. Despite a few logistical problems which were beyond Steve's control, he fitted our boiler and did some other small jobs completely to our satisfaction. One unfortunate discovery was a gas leak which required some extra piping at additional cost. However Steve did his best to keep the cost down and completed the work (even though there was extra to do) right on schedule. He kept us informed at all times and even saved us some money as some parts did not require replacing. He is a very personable chap and goes that extra mile to get the job done. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

Steve was prompt is responding to original query and gave good estimate. There was some confusion about dates but it was sorted out by Steve. He arrived having ordered the wrong boiler but this was also sorted out immediately. The weather on the first day was appalling so he was unable to do the outside work. Despite all this, he said it would take three days and he completed within the 3 days. He also charged slightly less than the quotation. Workmanship is excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending Steve.

Steve is reliable considerate and thoughtful. He is an excellent plumber and the quality of his work shows. Using his experience he advised and guided us with our choices. The other trades people he used for the refit had worked with him many times, this was reassuring and their work was also of a high standard. The tiler was exceptional. Despite the snow, everybody turned up on time and the job was completed according to plan. Each day he left everything tidy and as clean as possible, and before the end of his last day he had all the old bathroom fittings and debris taken away. We are delighted with our new bathroom and would not hesitate to recommend Steve.

Steve and his team replaced our asbestos cement cold water tank in the roof with a modern plastic tank. Also, as part of a new kitchen installation, they re-routed water and gas pipes and provided approved ventilation ducts through 11" cavity brickwork to maintain required ventilation for a gas back boiler and fire. All the work was carried out conscientiously to a high standard and all left clean and tidy upon completion.

The work involved the removal of our old boiler (in kitchen) and replacement by a new one in a different site (airing cupboard upstairs). The work was tackled very thoroughly, from the initial discussions of the various systems available with quotations, right through to the installation work itself. The disruption caused to us was no worse than foreseen, considering that several areas of the house were affected to accommodate the new pipe runs. We are really pleased with the results - very tidy work with neat pipe layout. A very minor radiator leak which became evident a day or so after the commissioning, was promptly deals with. We can highly recommend Panacea.

In a mere six days Steve Wright and his colleague Keith installed a completely new system (boiler in the garage, pipe runs from there to 12 radiators) in a house with no existing system, and full of furniture and possessions. Steve and Keith kept the inevitable disruption to a minimum with their thoughtful and helpful co-operation. I originally found Panacea Plumbing and Heating through Check-a-trade when I was looking for a replacement boiler.  I decided to try Steve out on installing a new shower pump before employing him to address the larger job. I subsequently asked Steve to replace my existing back boiler with a condenser boiler in a new position and at the same time install a completely new bathroom and downstairs toilet. Having planned the work carefully and knowing it involved multiple trades it was agreed that an optimistic duration for the job would be 2 weeks.  As Steve had introduced me to the tiler and the electrician, he organised their work slots and I organised the carpenter and the flooring contractor. Work started as planned, and Steve arrived with his plumber’s mate, Adam (who happens to be his future son-in-law and also runs his own plumbing firm). It became clear on day one that Steve is a worrier but by day two it was also clear that Steve was doing all of my worrying for me which was fabulous.  This became even more pertinent when, on the Tuesday of week two, we discovered that one of the bathroom walls would need re-rendering. By 07:00 on the following day Steve had arranged for the plasterer to be on site and by 09:00 that same day the new render was drying on the wall.  Unfortunately this had the impact of delaying the tiler by 2 days and thus preventing Steve and Adam from completing the job on the second Thursday and Friday. The work, a replacement and relocated boiler, a new tank, wireless heating controls, a completely new bathroom and new separate cloakroom, was eventually completed within 3 weeks, which in reality was a spectacular achievement. Though there was a huge amount of dust created during the process, which was an unavoidable inconvenience, the end result has more than justified and made up for this.  The quality of the work of both Steve and Adam has been truly excellent, with no complaints whatsoever about any element of their work.

Toilet would not flush away as there was a blockage in the system. Steve and Adam quickly identified the problem, by lifting the manhole and finding all the waste backed up. Within an hour he managed to clear the back log and get the water back up and running freely. Superb.
