Paul made an excellent job of hard walling and re skimming our living room (one wall is 26ft long and previously very uneven which you cannot see now) and hallway after we had our home re-wired and had moved walls. Because of the scale of the project, Paul carried out the work over a number of days. The existing bathroom rendering was very poor, being powdery and unstable. The outside of the house had old tiles which Paul removed an re-rendered, along with repairing a patch of previously badly finished rendering. In all cases Paul did an excellent job. He was very courteous, and tidy, and I was very pleased with the price he charged.

The work was in our 500 year old Tudor house and was to rectify a previous attempt at rendering an inglenook fireplace, which had crumbled through damp intrusion. The work was extended to three rooms that surround the chimney breast, involving hacking off all existing plaster and completing a multi-stage damp treatment process. Potentially this was a very dusty and dirty process, but Paul and his colleague contained it all extremely well, leaving the job each day having cleaned and hoovered. It was all completed over the allotted week on time with the minimum of fuss. The quality of the workmanship and attention to detail was exceptional and as a result we were delighted. I have no hesitation in giving a 100% recommendation to Paul Stevens Plastering Services.

They did a good job on the plastering but the rendering was a poor finish and not acceptable. They came back and removed some small areas that had blown and have never come back to re-do or put right what needs re-doing. This has been left unfinished now for eight months

Response from Paul Stevens Plastering Services:
The area of render the customer is referring to was completed by a sub-contractor, the customer was happy at the time with the work and paid us. The render was painted by some else, then four weeks later the customer contacted me saying he was not happy with the part in question. The sub-contractor and I looked at the area and the sub-contractor refused to correct it. Therefore I offered to repair it out of my own pocket. Due to bad weather, working time scale and my daughter being hospitalised twice I was unable to agree a date with the customer. The customer chose to go elsewhere to get it repaired, I offered the customer money towards materials but heard nothing back.
