Moss killer. A copper coil installed to your ridge. When exposed to water and air, this causes the copper to oxidise, creating Copper Sulphate which runs down your roof. This is deadly to moss spores, making your roof moss free.

De-mossing roof, fitting copper coil, fitting new fascias and guttering
The work itself appears to have been carried out well and whilst on site the team were personable. Unfortunately a 2-3 day job that was going to be done before Christmas took until the end of January to complete; an advertising board was erected without any discussion or agreement; on several occasions they did not turn up when they said they would, causing considerable inconvenience with rarely an apology or explanation; and an extra bit of work was not priced leading to quite a shock at the end of the job. Jay refused to accept that a very small discount should be made for the several inconveniences and free advertising, leading to a very unprofessional dispute. All that said, I am nothing if not fair and I wish to make it clear that I have no issue with the work done, just with the unreliability and poor communication skills.

Redo verges on roof join with conservatory
Job done well but a few days of rain seemed to delay completion of what was a 2 day job by 6 weeks - obviously other jobs took preference. Not impressed and always had to phone to find out what was happening.

Replacement of Soffits, Facia Boards and Guttering
The team were punctual and very polite. The work was carried out with full explanations and queries raised by them if any doubts about the finish required. They carried out all the work requested and stuck to their quotation price despite there being a few problems. Fully recommended.

Repointing work
We've used Paynes Roofing on a couple of occasions and would really recommend them. Jay was not only really personable to deal with, he was very knowledgeable and honest. He gave us sound advice about the state of our roof and didn't try to turn it into a massive job; in fact, he told us there was still plenty of life in it. We then hired him at a later stage to do some repointing work on the chimney stack of our semi-detached ahead of us moving house. Again, he was willing to do the work on the neighbour's half for free, because he thought it would look better than stopping halfway. His pricing was reasonable and his invoicing prompt. I'd use him again.
