A small family run business, I have twelve years experience of fitting and restoring wood floors with all aspects of sanding and fitted wood flooring undertaken, including floor restoration. I have developed a unique skirting trimming system which means that I do not need to use unsightly beadings when fitting a floor, and you will not need to have the skirting boards removed.

I am extremely experienced in matching in new flooring with old if any boards or wood blocks need replacing, and always achieve a fabulous finish.

A friendly and professional service with years of experience, and as I am a small, one man business, I do not charge VAT on my work.
Please be aware that I do not fit laminate flooring.

Repair, Sand and Varnish floorboards in 3 rooms and hallway including removal of 3 concrete hearths.

Really pleased with all aspects of the work carried out by Peter, he was punctual, tidy and workmanship was of a high standard. Would not hesitate to recommend him.

Large area of wood flooring re-furbished

Large area of old hard wood flooring totally re-furbed, sanded and stained. Some new areas added too. Very professional, timely and clean! Superb end result that attracts lots of positive comments. Would definitely use them again.

Sanded, filled, stained and varnish floorboards on ground floor of house

Peter exceeding our high expectations on the work he did on our floors. His attention to detail is outstanding and he is a real perfectionist. He was friendly, courteous, reliable and easy to have around the house. Without hesitation I would recommend him to anyone. Sanding, filling and varnishing of floorboards in living and dining rooms

We have no hesitation in recommending Peter Andrews, Wood Floor Specialist, following his excellent work on sanding and varnishing our living and dining room floors last month. Peter and his assistant Chris were always cheerful and willing to answer detailed questions and carefully explain how they would undertake the work, which gave us confidence that they would do a good job. They were equally happy to agree to specific sanding / filling / varnishing requirements where possible. Peter obviously takes pride in undertaking work to a high standard, and was prepared to take extra time – even over a weekend – to complete the job properly, rather than rush to finish it. We're extremely pleased with the end result.

Sanding and varnishing ground floor

We have been very pleased with Peter Andrews. At the time of the quote, his advice and recommendations were excellent and he simply explained the various steps he suggested. Him and his colleague then just did what they say they would do, with a superb result. They had great attention to detail, were hard working and pleasant to have around. It was a large area with few rooms and the result is seamless. I would not hesitate to recommend their services.

Fitting of 45sqm of solid oak flooring

Professional and friendly. Pre-job advice was very good. Very careful about finish. Nothing was considered a problem. Trustworthy to leave with a key and to work while away. Clever and unique way of cutting under skirting boards meant job was less messy. Took their time to do a good job. Floor looks great. Would definitely recommend to others.

Sanding and varnishing dining room floor

I can't fault Peter's work at all. He gave us a clear itemised quote so we knew exactly how much we would be paying for the work and how long it would take. He arrived punctually each day, he was always friendly and courteous. He clearly loves his work and takes a great deal of pride in it. He did a thorough job and the end result is as good as having a new floor. Perfect 10.
