Of 11 requests for quotations, 6 Building companies listed under Check a Trade came to the site, result only 4 quotations received. The job was given to the company with a quotation that reflected the sheet given at the time of the visit, some had missed items off the final quotation. Phil Lavender started on my new garage on the 27th March 2013, He even sorted out the Building Notice for me with the local council. He was a bit optimistic with the time that it would take to complete (he quoted 4 weeks) the building was done in 6 signed off by the council in 8. Phil is a very pleasant hard working guy started at 8am every morning, I will not fault his work most done by hand even digging the drains and footings. He organised the other trades, Skip, Bricklayer, Roofer and Electrician. He invoiced me at the agreed stages with the final payment on council sign off on the 23rd May 2013. (Only problem I was never quoted for the cable from the house to the garage, I had no Idea of this cost until the final invoice). He produced a good quality Building that looks good alongside my house. I would recommend Phil to anyone needing a builder.
