The fitting of new shower was fine but I felt the repair work e.G plastering of bedroom wall, caused by fitting the shower was poor. The trader came out again briefly but I felt made the wall worse. The trader quoted two prices before work the second quote being a higher price which I felt was expensive. The trader quoted for two days, but ended up working for two half days.

This customers feedback comes with great disappointment and surprise, particularly as she was made aware that the job could only be achieved to a certain standard due to the plaster on the walls being in such a poor state. She was advised that without completely re-plastering the wall, it would have to be patched and would show through. The customer readily accepted this fact due to her urgency to have the shower installed. Two prices were given, but the first was made clear that it was a rough estimate until a firm price for the shower could be obtained, which was when I contacted her a couple of hours later with the second price, which she accepted. Finally, the customers comment regarding how long I was there has completely stunned me and I can assure you that the two days allowed were used to chop out an inset shower, make good through the wall, tile and install a new shower, as well as allowing for drying time and sourcing of materials. One thing the customer does not mention is the two further visits I made afterwards, to fine sand the walls to the best that they could be. When I left the customer she admitted that I had done everything I could and genuinely appeared happy with the work. I feel I have done all I can.

Steve is a fantastic plumber and I have no hesitation in recommending him to other customers. He is friendly, arrives on time, does the job to a very high standard and is very conscious about his work impacting on your home life and so keeps things tidy whilst he goes about his tasks. I have used Steve to undertake improvement work on my property for the past 5 years ranging from the moving of radiators to having a whole new boiler installed. I have never had any problems or issues with any of the work Steve has completed. On this occasion Steve fixed/re-routed a leaking pipe under my kitchen floor which had originally been laid incorrectly (no lagging) by a plumber that had been contracted by my builder when he built my extension. This was a tricky job as I didn’t want to lift my entire laminate flooring but Steve managed to work around this and still dealt with the issue of re-connection to rest of the system which included the downstairs W/C and utility. Great job well done, Thanks Steve.
