Response from Premier Motorhomes & Leisure Ltd:
The customers vehicle was booked in to ‘investigate the solar panel not working’ in October 2011. A faulty solar regulator was diagnosed and replaced, unfortunately the customer gave no indication that the batteries might be faulty so the technicians had no cause to carry out a lengthy battery load test procedure. When a vehicle is dropped off to our service dept, our procedure is to run through the jobsheet with the owner and confirm the work listed, this gives them the opportunity to add a note of any other concerns before signing to this effect. Only through use of the motorhome would faulty batteries become apparent and in this instance we would rely on this information from the customer.’
