I couldn't be more happy with the work that Premise carried out at my house. I was really impressed that even though this was a very small job compared to the large extensions and building work they are used to doing, I received the same level of high service and professionalism. The craftsmanship of the carpenter who carried out the work was second to none and I would not hesitate to use Premise again whether it was for a few more shelves going up or an extension to our house. The challenge was to completely refurbish our newly purchased 4 and 5 bedroom student/professional let properties in time for the January '2012/13 marketing season', time was tight. Works included full strip out; damp course; electrical; heating; double glazing; new bathrooms; plastering; and decoration. These were completed on time and to quoted cost. Cost Competitiveness: From a cost perspective, Premise Property Maintenance (PPM) were benchmarked against other providers as a project as a whole and for component parts of the project. I found them to be commercially competitive. This principle did not change when, as a client, addition work packages were added to PPM's schedule. Budget Management: PPM worked closely with me to agree the schedule of works, providing idea options to help me manage the project budget. Throughout the projects, where unforeseen challenges arose (e.G. Additional building control requirements), PPM worked with me to find alternative areas to 'nip and tuck' to bring the project back in line. Project Management: PPM managed all the trades seamlessly, including external specialist trades not part of the PPM schedule of works. Professionalism: I found the whole PPM team to be professional, polite and considerate. They had an excellent work ethic and keen to (and did) deliver the project as agreed. Would I recommend Premise Property Maintenance? Absolutely. I look forward to working with Andy Page and his team again in the near future.

Initial work was to undertake insurance claim following leak. Work was professionally done, completed on time and property left in good state afterwards. Company were also very helpful in providing advice on potential damp in property, giving details of specialists and advising to deal direct as would be cheaper for me.

Customer asked us to fit worktops that he had already purchased. We gave the customer a day rate to attend which he accepted and we sent our carpenter to the site, he found the worktops had been stored in the customer’s garage against a wall for some time. We explained to the customer that worktops should be stored laid flat and in better temperatures as there was swelling and bowing. We are not responsible for the condition of the worktops, unfortunately the customer did not want to purchase better ones for us to carry out the work correctly and we fitted as requested to the best we could under the circumstances. The customer did call our office and I personally spoke to him and he said there was a minor issue to the join, which I fully explained as detailed above again.

Trader agreed to put up circular shower curtain rail. It came off wall. I was charged for the resulting hole to be filled. The filling needs re-doing. The rail came off the wall again. I am left with no rail on the wall, a gaping hole and a hole that needs re-filling. Reimbursement was refused and I have to pay someone else to make good the wall.

“We dealt with this matter professionally & correctly in writing to the landlord & we feel very disappointed that we can be blamed for a very simple job that could have been avoided if they allowed us to purchase the correct materials for the job. The rail lasted 4 months before it came off the wall. We then re-attended free of charge re-fitted the rail in a new location. We met the landlord said that the circular curtail rail that they provided in our opinion was not fit for its purpose & if they had accepted our original quotation then the curtain rail we would have supplied would have had additional anchor points & a ceiling pole to give the curtain rail a full firm fitting. “

Premise property maintenance provides a good quality service that is fast and of high quality. I would seriously recommend them for all sorts of interior work. Besides the new kitchen they have replaced ceilings and windows in my flat as well as installed a new CV and sorted out electrics. Good quality service for an honest price.
