ProGas Mechanical services was formed in 1998 initially with the current owner and his brother, who both at the time were working as General Manager and Maintenance supervisor for a Major Contracting company. Initially as is often the case they sub-contracted work back from their old employers and the first major works completed was the Victoria Plaza hotel at London Victoria, by this time they had a workforce of around 25 people, a smaller work force also completed projects in Egypt at the Conrad Hilton Hotel. It was decide at this stage due to the old companies demise to also lower the overheads and work on smaller projects in the domestic market, this is when they started doing Contract work for British Gas among others going back to their roots from when they started in the industry back in the seventies.  

The Company now consists of Chris Lawes the owner and his three Sons, two of whom are fully qualified both worked on the above larger projects. Steve his brother has recently moved to pastures new and is working again for a larger Company. With this vast experience to fall back on ProGas are able to offer its customers solutions to most problems with their heating and hot water systems, be it a breakdown, a persistent fault or indeed a full new system they are able to provide a very competitive service.
