Mark and Billy were really helpful and friendly. Mark originally spent at least thirty minutes on the phone a couple of days before to see if he could talk my partner through fixing the boiler which I was very impressed with. Unfortunately he couldn't so he came out to us on the Saturday, exactly at the time he said he would. Throughout the day Mark was always informing me of what he was doing and what was happening. He also did a couple of little jobs at no extra charge for which I was grateful. Thoroughly recommended and I will be using him next year to replace my very old radiators!

The level of service provided should really be the benchmark for others. Mark and his team deserve the positive feedback they get. He is punctual, professional, experienced and personable. Price was as quoted and job done in the time estimated. Covered stairways and floors to reduce mess. Left the site clean and tidy. Highly recommended and wouldn't hesitate to use the company again.

Mark was unfortunately delayed so arrived a bit late with apologies. Brought in two extra guys to finish the job quicker. Having been initially doubtful that the leak we had would have been too small a job for any tradesman to sort out, I found Mark's company on here and gave him a try. Called him in the morning and he and his team arrived before noon on the same day. Mark was very polite and prompt with sorting out the leak issue, he also warned me about any external issues that might affect us prior to doing the job. He even sorted our boiler pressure at no extra cost! All in all we are very satisfied and would definitely recommend Mark to others with similar issues.

Mark and his assistant were punctual and friendly. They were able to find the source of the leak very quickly. Fortunately it was not a major problem which we can sort it out ourselves. Basically, water has seeped through the wall tiles and the sealant over time and went onto the laminated floor with the bathtub sitting on top of it. Mark recommend this something we can do by grouting the wall tiles with new sealant and will be cheaper than if they do it. He also said we can ring him for further advice.

Having just bought our first property, hiring Mark has been a godsend. His knowledge and capability has gone above and beyond what we could have expected when we were looking to hire a plumber. Not only has he fixed the problems we were having with mold in our bathroom, he explained every step so we know how to prevent future issues. Having left Mark and Billy on their own to finish the work, we returned to find they had not only completed the job, but fixed other issues around the flat too. I asked Mark to come round to fix the hot water pressure. He discussed the problem over the phone (and I sent him photos). He fixed the problem easily by installing a new pump and extra tank. He kept me informed as he was sorting the extra pieces. He came when he said he would and kept the house tidy and the hot water is a million times better!

Mark was excellent - very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient and a pleasure to have in our home. He also got to us only half an hour after calling him - on a Saturday too! It was a tricky and awkward installation that required drilling through cupboards and creativity to complete the job. Mark was full of advice and went above and beyond also answering plumbing questions and advising us on a bathroom and kitchen renovation while he was at it. I wish all tradesmen could be like Mark! Mark has been at my house a couple times before to look at our heating system. He has found a couple faults in our heating system and rectified them. The heating system is now fixed and we have hot water. Mark is well presented, polite and friendly.

Mark and his apprentice Billy came to connect a new stack for a toilet upstairs and to do all underfloor work for a new bathroom and toilet downstairs. He made several pre work visits to help us with options and suggested many things we could do to try to solve the issues we were facing. The work has been done to a very good standard and he did other small bits and pieces we asked of him which will make our remaining work easier to finish. He even took the time to show me how to connect up some pipes myself, not sure this qualifies me as a plumber though :-)

Phoned Mark to help with a leaky stopcock. He diagnosed the problem over the phone and then walked me through fixing it without taking a penny. It was very generous of him, as I was clueless enough that he could easily have charged me a call out fee to fix it in five minutes! His instructions were very clear (even I could follow them!) and I would definite recommend for others to call him!

I was given advice over the telephone about a leaking pipe with a promise of follow up within the next two hours. Despite the fact that I did not end up needing the follow up, I have to say that the advice was practical, simply laid out for me to follow and done in a way that reassured me. Patiently explained the job carried out in good layman terms. All works carried out professionally and efficiently. Quote was fair and reasonable. Offered advice about jobs not relating to his area of expertise - very helpful. We inadvertently found him when we accidentally burst our gas pipes by accident on a weekend. He came round within 1-2 hours and the matter was solved quickly. We asked him to carry out our recent works as he could perform the plumbing and is also gas safe registered. All works carried out by himself and his nephew Billy. Happily recommend them.

Mark returned after masterfully installing a new shower to repair a leak to the main down stack on the outside of the house. This was for the waste water pipe of the newly installed shower (the original pipe needed replacing). Mark came whilst I was at work and took care of things. The hole where the waste water pipe entered the stack was at the wrong angle so Mark made the repair the best he could and said he would return if it was still leaking. It was slightly, and Mark diligently returned the next day as promised to fit another part which works perfectly. Can't fault him, highly recommended.

We discovered our shower tray was leaking into the wall and dripping down into the kitchen downstairs. We had already had a new shower unit installed and were annoyed that yet another thing has gone wrong after moving in less than four months before! After being let down by a number of local plumbers, Mark returned my call and arranged a time that was suitable for both of us so he could provide a quote. He was knowledgeable, polite and upfront with his advice and also matched the other quote. The work was carried out to an excellent standard and I was kept appraised of progress throughout. Costs were explained and Mark took some time out to look over and quote on other things that needed to be done around the house. He also gave some excellent advice on how to save gas and electricity. Nothing was too much trouble and Mark worked around me, not the other way around that is often the case with some tradesman. Afterwards everything was left clean and tidy and Mark and Bill went on their way. Highly recommended.

I used Checkatrade to find a plumber for an elderly, infirm neighbour who is 'flatbound' and had no hot water. I chose Mark of Promark and Sons after reading the reviews and what a good choice it was as he is excellent! Because the 'client' was elderly and without water Mark treated it as a priority. He reset the thermostat on the old element initially but when that did not work came back the very next day to fit the new element. The working space was limited, the flat like an oven and it took over two hours just to empty both water tanks, before removing the faulty element. He explained everything to me but built up a rapport with the client too. He is excellent with elderly persons, having seen his approach today. Mark and his nephew Billy took care with everything and left the flat neat and tidy at the end. Highly recommended.

Fabulous job as texted him and got the quote quickly, he came over with his nephew, explained clearly which was best place to connect from went from there. Fixed few things that most people wouldn't bother. Explained about wiring. He even checked the boiler as the pressure was low, fixed it with no extra charge! I have a problem with hot water and I invited a plumber to come and check it for me. The plumber identified the problem but took a long time to get back to me with a quote. Mark was very helpful on the phone and explained how he would approach the job. We needed extra spare parts and he suggested to pick them up instead of waiting for days to have them delivered (helpful in this situation). Work was done well, boiler brought back to life and Mark was very helpful in explaining what to watch out for in the future and how to maintain the boiler. Found 2 screws of the cover later, nothing major, but they could have checked for that. Would definitely recommend the boys again!

He just so happened to be nearby so kindly phoned another customer to see if he could fit the job in, and this was totally fine and good for us all round. From the first time I spoke to Mark I felt at ease. I could tell that he knew what he was talking about and despite the fact that I'm sure he had a lot of different jobs on the go. Having recently moved into a property we inherited a number of plumbing issues. Mark and his apprentice Billy were punctual and polite. Mark took the time to talk me through what he thought were the main issues and costs. Over two days they made repairs to our boiler, fixed the kitchen drainage pipes, flushed and replaced several radiators. His estimate for costs and labour were accurate and reasonable. I would recommend Mark and his apprentice Billy. They were both very professional and delivered an excellent service. Initially I called them out because my boiler broke down. Against all odds they tried to repair it but sadly it went to the scrap yard in the sky! They endeavoured to supply and fit me a new boiler as soon as possible. My boiler had broken down overnight. I found Mark on this website. I knew what the problem was, and he asked me to send photos to his phone so he could try to talk me through what needed doing so saving a call out charge. We weren't able resolve it so he promised to come along in the afternoon to do it for me. His previous job overran but he still kept his word and hot-footed it to my house to get the boiler going, which he did immediately and showed me exactly what to do should it happen again. I used this company's services to repair my combi boiler which had broken down. I didn't know much about my boiler having only recently bought my house. Based on my description of the problem Mark initially got me to do a few checks over the phone to see if it could be fixed without a call out. He then came the next day and found that the fan had broken, most likely due to all the crap/sludge going through my central heating system which blocked up the a part of the boiler causing a leak which took out the fan. He showed me where it had blocked and I could see for myself how bad it was, he also explained the cause, how to fix it, and options for avoiding a repeat occurrence. I opted to get the fan replaced (the main fix) and also to have the radiators power flushed to clean the system out to avoid a repeat breakdown - I also got it done because I knew they were pretty blocked up and not working that efficiently. While he and his team was here I also got them to change some taps. I'm not particularly technical but did appreciate Mark explaining what had gone wrong and why, how the power flush worked (it's magnetic) and would get the sludge out - which he showed me on the day, and how to take better care of my boiler. Since then the boiler has worked fine and is even a bit quieter, and the radiators are a lot hotter since they were flushed, and now heat up quicker too. The costs were explained up front and in total came in a little under what I expected.

We had an emergency at my Dad's warehouse, as a candle had melted the outside plastic loo cistern, which caught fire, destroyed it and we had a mains water fountain! (luckily it was in the yard, so went down the drain and didn't flood anything). Sent Mark photos late afternoon, (what a good idea?! Saves wasting his time coming to assess first) he picked up the right cistern/ pipework and arrived early next day (as promised). Did a very neat and tidy and imaginative job and added a stopcock to the new pipework and sorted out a couple of other plumbing problems in the building. Not the cheapest, but would highly recommend to others. He came out at very short notice and we're completely happy with every aspect of the work carried out. Will definitely use him again.

Tenants advised that shower wasn't working. Estate agent sent a contractor to check and advised me (landlord) that a new shower is required. I challenged the contractor's view (that a new shower was required) as the shower was installed by Mark just a year earlier. And so I asked Mark to go look at the shower. Mark investigated and it appears the shower was fine. Just the electrical wiring that feeds into the shower wasn't working (wear and tear - more than 10 years old). So Mark rewired the electrics from the mains to the shower itself. All working, tenants happy and landlord happy. Clearly the contractor sent by the estate agent did not even do the bear minimum of opening the shower to see what was wrong with it. Instead the contractor jumped into concluding that the shower needed to be replaced, which would have cost me much more than Mark fixed it for me.

While attaching the thermostatic valves, Mark noticed that our central heating wasn't working properly - water was leaving the radiator at a good temperature but massively losing heat along the way. He flushed out our system but when a part went on the boiler he suggested getting a new one. He also predicted that this might happen as the previous owners had not maintained the boiler. He got us a good deal on a very good boiler and while installing it, noticed that there were problems with the gas supply to our house - he called in a gas engineer quickly to deal with the problem. Mark provided a no nonsense and pragmatic approach at every stage. He went out of his way to deal with my managing agents (I wish I could be as positive about Foxtons as I am about Mark) and delivered what he said he would for the cost that he promised, which was some 25% less than my first quote. Work was completed professionally. Mark came exactly when he said he would and immediately went out to get the part and replaced the flow valve. As it didn't take long and I was being charged the hourly rate, he also offered to look at the central heating while he was there. Unfortunately our old pipe work began to leak an hour later, but he came back as soon as he could (within a couple of hours) and worked on it. He replaced the old pipework without charge.

A department store had delivered our new washing machine and were going to connect it for us, but when they checked the connection set up we were told they were not qualified to do it. This put us in an unexpected situation so I quickly found the trader on Checkatrade and gave him a call. He was very helpful and came round that afternoon after he had finished another job and got the washing machine plumbed in there and then. He was very helpful and efficient and we would use him again.

Can't recommend enough. Mark took time out on the phone to talk to me the evening before for half an hour (not billed for) to see if I could fix it myself by getting me to do some simple tests and avoid charging me when nothing was wrong. When they came round he explained what they were doing step by step as well as performing tests on the heating system and fitting a part not in the original quote for free. Really nice guy and will definitely use him again.

Mark Newman has helped us brilliantly before, so we naturally called upon him again when we wanted to replace the old leaky bathroom tub and shower with a modern new walk-in shower and have new tiles on the walls, etc. He worked very hard, always to the highest professional standard, and kept us fully informed each step of the way. The job proved to be quite tricky, but he overcame every obstacle and went far out of his way to help pick out a new vinyl floor. The result is a super newly-renovated bathroom! He and his apprentice were always punctual, friendly, and in fact thoroughly enjoyable throughout the project. The pricing was fair and very reasonable. I unreservedly recommend Mark Newman and Promark Plumbing and Heating!

Mark has provided us with a really first rate service. We asked him to investigate a leak coming through our kitchen ceiling from the en-suite bathroom. We also wanted our 2 showers replaced. He went out of his way to fully assess the pipe work and determine the source of the leak. He kept us informed at all times so that we knew the cost/how long the work would take. Mark gave us options for how to install the 2 new showers and advised on the best way to achieve the result we wanted, while always letting us know what costs would be involved. He has provided lots of helpful information while working here and spoken to other people on our behalf to get the results we wanted - e.G. Insurance companies, Thames Water. He even helped unload my supermarket delivery when I had my hands full with my daughter! I really can't recommend him highly enough. I wouldn't hesitate to call Mark again if I needed work doing ion the future.

We first contacted Mark to see if he could replace our old electric shower with a new one. He offered some great money saving advice - sourcing our own new shower, and he even came out on a Saturday to install it, not charging any more than the original mid-week quote. Mark came to install a new boiler, he was very thorough and picked up on things others missed. He had no problems only solutions and fixed years of bad previous plumbing issues in the house left by other plumbers. We were so pleased with his work, his patience and understanding and will always use him in the future. Careful and through of checking ALL plumbing within toilet (bath / toilet + cistern / basin supply and drain pipework) and clearly identify the source of leak which is hardly noticeable. Due to lack of parts another time is agreed to return to complete the job.
