PSL Developments Ltd have been developing and contracting in Winchester since 1997, prior to that we were based in Farnborough, Hampshire. We have steadily grown and now offer the following skilled trades; Carpenters, Bricklayers, Plasterers, Plumbers, Roofers and Tilers. All are time served tradesman each having trained with other local building firms. Between us we have approximately 150 years experience in the construction industry.
We specialise in 3 areas; 1) Whole house refurbishment, 2) Loft conversions and extensions, 3) Individual projects such as Bathrooms, Wetrooms or Kitchens. The director's background is Project Management of multi million pound construction schemes , having previously worked with Royal Aerospace, McLaren Cars and many NHS Trusts..

Kitchen Design, Planning and Refit
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! From the off I was hugely impressed by the realistic and professional approach that I received from Paul and the team at PSL. At last I had found someone who could design and deliver my dream kitchen in realistic timescales and on a sensible budget (I had a few scary figures thrown at me by other local builders!). The job was completed on time and on budget. The quality of the workmanship is of a very high standard. The team were there when they said they would be there and obviously had excellent project management as there seemed to be a schedule for everything and everyone, but this was all delivered in a friendly, un-pressured and polite way. I am totally delighted with the finished job and cannot recommend PSL enough.

Replastering, wood work, front door rennovation, electrics and decorating
Paul stuck to his price despite the volume of replastering work going up to about double what he originally allowed for. The team were excellent; Greg, the plasterer and decorator, had an unfailingly cheery attitude and pride in his work was outstanding, and the resultant finish is excellent, all of this with very little oversight from us - we gave the Greg the key and let him get on with it. Dave (sparky) and Nick (chippy) were great, and the project din't suffer from any delay for want of the right man at the right time. We added to the scope during the project and Paul kept a good eye on the job informed us as things went along. We're very pleased.

2 storey extension and internal alterations
We have been really happy with the work carried out by PSL. Paul and his team have been excellent. Any changes to the scope of work were discussed and clearly costed up which meant it was easy to keep track of the spend on the build. At certain points where cost savings could occur Paul was happy to highlight these eg reusing a window that turned out to be in good order. PSL take a lot of pride in delivering a high quality build and this shows in the finished result.

Paul and his team have done a brilliant job transforming our old very dated bathrooms to beautiful clean lines and very modern bathrooms. Got to know Paul, Dave and Greg really well and felt confident that the work would be done to a high standard. Paul was also very helpful in the planning stage advising us on the best options for our rather small rooms! Thank you guys.

Bathroom and Bedroom Renovation
Excellent communication right from the initial quote stage, started when they said they were going to and worked really hard while on site. Plastering 10/10, Plumbing 8/10, Electrics 6/10. While they carried out what we agreed to do, from a homeowners point of view we would have expected a little more by way of advice pre planning e.G consequence of mixer taps on low pressure system, and what finish we may have expected. Two careless mistakes - water spill and damage to sink cabinet - probably a consequence of rushing to complete as PSL were busy. Overall, good reliable job.

Interior ground floor alterations.
In my opinion the accuracy of the estimate not complete because the contract was ambiguous. I was advised that the work was supposed to be completed within 3-4 weeks, yet 6 months has passed and the works are still not complete. I feel that the communication with PSL has been exceptionally poor due to lack of PSL response.

The customer in this instance is our 3rd client in this street. The other sites have involved much larger, more complex projects for which I have used exactly the same team across all 3 sites. Please see our other feedback regards the experience these customers had with ourselves and their projects. Decide for yourself, how can you have such a different outcome with the same team of people? The only variable here is the client, whom despite our repeated attempts to satisfy, constantly pushed for works that were not within the scope. This is the first time in over 250 projects that we have had to leave a job in this way.
