Installation of new gas cooker
The man turned up on time (actually a few minutes early) with all of the tools he needed to do the job. Installed my new cooker, carried out all the necessary checks, made sure that it was working. Once finished, he offered to help me carry the old cooker outside, where I had arranged for it to be taken away, more than I had asked for or expected. As to the office staff, once I had booked the appointment, then had to change it, this was done without fuss. A big plus was that they offer a 1-hour time slot, very important for busy working people. And I was told the man's name in advance, a personal touch that I liked. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

Clearing roof guttering of leaves
Arrived on time , but without ladders. Took 1 hour to hire required ladders. Website and phone booking quoted a certain amount But final invoice was twice that amount because they omitted to mention it was a certain amount per hour per workman, and it was a two man job.

We refunded the customer; we openly admit the error with the ladders. It was explained to the client that it is a certain amount per engineer. when the appointment was booked. This is for Health & Safety reasons. Website does not give a price for guttering.

To analyse and repair two leaks.
I had two small leaks to be analysed and fixed. The plumber seemed rushed which led to one leak being diagnosed wrongly and the wrong parts being ordered. The return visit was just as rushed with the shower tap fitted upside down.

We have contacted the customer to discuss his concerns and comments. The customer purchased a filter tap to fit. This filter tap could only be fitted with the relevant taps to suit which are very expensive so the customer opted for just fitting a middle of the range tap therefore, the filter tap could not be used. With regards to the shower the handle it was not quite straight and so our engineer offered to return and straighten it. The customers answer was that he was not really bothered and happy to live with it. We were at the customers property for 4.5 hours in total and we feel that this is about the average time to carry out this kind of work.

Replacement of hot water cylinder, draining old cylinder and capping off relevant pipes prior to completing installation
The engineer was very thorough, His work was faultless, time-keeping exceptional and he was always prepared to "go the extra mile". A few unexpected problems arose after the installation was completed and these were dealt with by the engineer very swiftly. I will definitely be recommending Putney Plumbers to my friends and neighbours.
