Brickwork,relay drive,wall pinning,damproofing and replastering

Very pleased with the quality of the work carried out. David and his team were friendly and helpful and kept disruption to a minimum. They tidied up and removed waste as they progressed. Work was completed on time and at the price agreed. No complaints!

Demolish one fence and one wall and build two walls with piers

Mr. Dickson arrived in a smart clean van with his Company and the Checkertrade logo clearly defined. Upon introduction he handed me his business card, and upon discussing my requirements he was extremely helpful and was very friendly and professional. Dave and his team were superb throughout this extension to our house. Right from the planning stage, offering advice on what might look good from his many years experience, to after the build when certain things need finishing off..nothing was too much trouble. The tidiness that they kept throughout is ledgendary! Its something Dave and his team pride themselves on and along with the quality/standard of workmanship displayed, we now have a superb new living space along with downstairs cloakroom,utility area, integral garage and porch. There were one or two small problems along the way which can happen on builds of this size, but again with Daves expertise, these were quickly over come and to a high standard. The various other trades seemed to come and go like clockwork and everything went smoothly. The Bi fold doors that he sourced in place of the French Doors we were originally going to have, are fantastic and really set off the rear extension. The team were on the job at the same time everyday, rain or shine..even some weekends when required, so that the other trades like roofers could come in on a Monday to do their bit. We had an 11 week time scale but everything was done after 9, again this was down to great workmanship and effort. The place seems a bit quiet now the build is done as Dave, Paul Snr..Paul Jr..Aaron..Pete..Nick..Johnny..Keith and the rest have finished, but apart from getting a great build, we've made some great friends through employing R&D Local Quality Builders! Cheers chaps!

The team that the trader runs have been exemplary at carrying out the work in time and budget. Polite at all times and tidied up every day to keep the disruption to a minimum for me and the 3 kids. It was important that he was able to overcome problems and resolve them which he did several times. The paving slabs where out of stock, the bi-fold had a damage, the garage door got damaged, all these things he was able to resolve during the build. Since it was going to take 10 weeks they brought their portaloo and setup a kettle/tea station. The trader and his team have the ability of knowing what looks best in the end, the roof lantern needed centering, the patio needed to be in front of the bi-folds, the color of the lantern and bi-folds the same, these  things that now give us a fantastic huge warm room with lots of light for the family to enjoy. Don't get me wrong, there was mess, lorries in and out, moving cars from time to time, and the day they joined the rooms, the dust was everywhere. We did have a building site outside for 2 months, but you expect that. The indoor mess was only the last two weeks and they were there 7 am every day to try and make sure we had a warm safe room. It is a professional team and a pleasure to work with.

Building en suite into existing bedroom. This necessitated digging up driveway to lay new drainage system. Complete rewiring of house. New boiler fitted. Concrete kitchen floor taken up and new concrete floor layed prior to installation and fitting of a new kitchen. This also meant the kitchen walls had to be completely replastered.

We were very pleased with R and D Builders. They worked hard, turned up on time every day and were always helpful and polite. What could have been a very stressful time was made easier by the helpfulness and efficiency of all the members of this firm of builders. We would certainly recommend R and D Builders. Dave Dickson, owner of the company, went out of his way to make sure we were happy with all aspects of the job until its final completion.

Dave and his team built a 2 storey extension including garage, study, bedroom and en-suite. Turned up everyday, rain or shine! All aspects of the build were organised so there was never a delay due to lack of materials. Dave dealt with the building inspectors etc so I didn't have to worry about a thing! Building was finished to a good standard, within quote and before time. I would highly recommend R and D Local Quality Builders.
