Chimney Removal, Damp Proofing, Timber Flooring, Decorating, Brick Laying, etc....
Wish we had found Bob years ago! This guy has so much skill and experience it covers a huge range of abilities that cumulate in a complete project team in one man.
We were running short of time on a project and he came to our rescue, removed the chimney, secured the flooring, replaced floor boards, damp proofed, brick laid, matched, fitted the skirting board – the list is endless. He was clean, extremely efficient, conscientious, very proactive and always going the extra mile (even when he was ill).
He was thoughtful to the neighbours, a real craftsman with any material and had such a joy in the work he did. Politeness and friendliness was in abundance and a trust was built up quickly (left him the keys to house whilst away on holiday).
A real encyclopaedia and adviser on how to progress with the smaller tasks ongoing, and how to make the most of, and care for, our home.
He was substantially cheaper than all the other companies we had used (for the same jobs) which made us kick ourselves! We will definitely use him again no matter how big or small the job and have recommended him to many of our friends already.

Customer in London, 6 August 2007
Reskimming of walls & kitchen refit.
Bob has done work for us in the past (bathroom/replastering) for which we have no complaints, however, on our last project (reskimming of walls & kitchen refit) he abandoned us mid project without explanation. It has taken us 10 weeks to find someone to sort out the mess he left us in. Apart from the emotional stress (i was 6 months pregnant) it cost us a lot financially for storage and costs associated with the electrics (lights) we had to redo as a result of him not following current regulations.

Response from R J G Builders:
I was employed to carry out plastering works in kitchen in April. I was told that kitchen fitters would be coming to fit kitchen and would I return after to lay wood floor. I agreed to this. The kitchen fitters did not turn up, and I was asked to carry out this work. I was unable to do this for the customer as I had not scheduled this into my work, and had other work commitments already agreed to with other customers. The electrics were carried out via a qualified electrician who had previously worked for this customer. I was surprised to receive this complaint as this work was carried out 5 months ago, and complaint received 7th August 2007.
