Please tell any of your friends to contact R S Aerial Services about any digital tv problems before they ring anybody else.I had R S carry out work to my tv.They were punctual,the engineer told me what he was going to do and kept me informed all the time.Before the installation was completed the engineer brought in his box of tricks and tested everthing to make sure all the system was working ok.Having the right tools for the job was one thing, the bonus was having R S do the work, who I highly recommend.

Problem was diagnosed. Whilst doing extension work, builders had installed poor quality aerial cable and spurred off socket which affects signal strength and balance. Aerial signal was not strong enough to over come this problem and the alternative was running new cable to the new sockets which was not desireable as old cable was hidden in walls. Opted for new aerial to improve signal strength and problem resolved. Old aerial was not fitted well anyway and had recently fallen down twice.

Rick is a very professional installer providing excellent customer service. He arrived on time and provided me with a courtesy call to let me know he was on his way. He has a long history working on installing aerials and satellite dishes and thoroughly understands his field. He is also very thorough in his troubleshooting. I had an issue with not being able to receive vertical high band channels. The problem turned out to be a faulty multi switch. Ricky was professional and helpful throughout his visit. He not only solved the problem, he explained what had gone wrong and what he'd done to fix it. It appears that Skyforce Ltd (the original company who installed our digital aerial in 2007) had not made the correct roof aerial cable connections which led to a weak signal - so they then said we needed an addtional masthead amplifier (an extra £98 + VAT) because we were in a low signal area. Despite this 'high end' technology, we had to call Skyforce back in 4 times before the end of August 2008, complaining of flaky reception. None of the visits resulted in a fix. Since 2008, reception has been intermittant until we lost all signal in early July of this year. Ricky quickly established that we hadn't needed an amplifier in the first place (as we're actually in a high signal area), removed it and made good all connections - we now have a top quality signal to all channels. Thank you, Ricky!

I specifically wanted a satellite dish with a quattro LNB installed so that I could distribute the feed around the home, and Ricky organised this no problem. Installation was first class - neat, tidy, and he went out of his way to make absolutely sure I was happy. I know the cost of the materials was more than expected but the total charge was still exactly as per the original quote. I've used Ricky before some years ago and called him again because I found him to be honest, reliable, and a thoroughly nice guy - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
